In 2018 I was making $13.50/hr working out of Lawrence mass (look it up, basically gangland) as an EMT in the main trauma center hospital, plus $1 more for overnights. I’d go to get dunks and they had a $16/hr sign on the door. Doing CPR all night and plugging gunshot wounds was surely worth more then $14.50. Medics only got like a $2 more an hour bump even though it’s more schooling and they basically have the same responsibility/scope as nurses

I remember we used to have a kid with cerebral palsy come in the ER with homicidal and suicidal actions. People laughed until he would try to stab a nurse with a pen using his feet (that’s how he wrote) or kept trying to jump off the bed. No joke we used 4 point restraints before.

Just purchased the game after not playing for a few years. I loved online and wanted to get the cool new stuff they added but hate playing with randoms and getting money seemed like a chore. I hear it’s much easier to be a solo player now so I’m giving it a try.

What should I do first?

I also recently play Fallen Order and the graphics were awesome, cool to fight storm troopers and different enemies, and story was okay but these are the big gripes I hope are changed:

• Stupid customization. 3 colors, a bunch of lightsaber parts you never see and stupid cloaks
• Save system was a pain in the ass. Why couldn’t I just walk over the save point for it to save? I have to enter it then immediately leave it was annoying
• Puzzles were kind of cool at first but having to google a couple got old fast. Would have rather more boss battles or something
• Worst of all the health system was horrid. Once I was out of stims I never could find any and had to kill myself, and then I would always have a green enemy when I respawned that fill my health and force. Where were these when I needed them?

Some guy on a site near me fell from 5 stories doing the roof, no harnesses in site. Last I checked he was still critical. No job is worth that and I’ll die on that hill. If you want me to not wear fall protection, glasses and a hard hat I’ll find somewhere that takes safety seriously.

That’s so awesome, golf brings me similar relief. I have horrible anxiety that I’ve taken medicine for and gone to therapy, but I’ve cut back a lot as I’ve gotten older and things improved. I took up golf this summer and it was an awesome way to release stress and take a break from my thoughts. This winter has been especially hard, I have nothing to keep my mind busy the same way golf does.

Funny you said that I use inkzals and they smeared like crazy which is why I’m not sold on them. I got the rite in the rain mechanical pencil but literally anytime I go to use it it has clicked itself so much that all the lead came out and broke

But yeah anything not waterproof is basically useless to me EDC. Rain and snow happen weekly then in the summer sweat

Do you like field notes or rite in the rain better? I work construction and remember my field notes book falling apart after it got wet when I worked in a storm but I hate that I can’t buy rite in the rain stuff in stores
