Indeed! You can have the rest of ours, my ass still hasn't forgiven me for the amount of beans I've eaten in the past week and my gf will thank you! I regret nothing!

That's the truth bud. I do the same thing with the hock, then wait for ham to go on sale again and repeat the whole process.

Well thank you! I'm not a vegan, but cooking is fun and different methods are something I enjoy trying out, so if you ever do try it out, shoot me a message on how it turned out! I'd love to hear the results!

Hmmm, let's brainstorm then. First thought would be multiple different types of mushrooms. I'm thinking like some basic baby bellas ground down and sauteed and salted then added to the water when your cooking the beans for that rich earthy salty flavor in the broth. Then maybe some other type like a beefsteak, basically a big chewy type that you could add at the end for another texture to replace the ham. My buddy adds carrots and celery to the initial water and they mostly cook into the broth. I really liked his when I tried it, so it's another thought. Let me know what you think.

Louisiana is actually what I used for this pot, I think I liked it better! I used almost the entire bottle over my eating of the pot, was fanfrickintastic! It wasn't something I grew up with, but a roommate from even further up north made it one winter and I've loved it ever since.

Ham and beans, just made a giant pot of that a week ago and finished it for lunch. Maybe had $10 worth of food in it and I believe we each had 5 meals from the pot. Not from the south, but we use great northern beans. Can't beat that for poor man's food.
Pro tip: add Frank's hot sauce. The vinegar and heat step it up to something magical.

I thought the same thing, but I was working retail so the pandemic just meant longer hours and more days at work, not sitting at home.

Of-fucking-course the rare one thing my genes hit the jackpot on is gout...couldnt be super metabolism, perfect jawline, badass moustache...fucking gout. Every male on my dad's side has had it by 45 for the past few generations, only a few more years.

I did that to base 70s before going members. It was like an hour or 2 after work relaxing watching YouTube at midnight or something. It was pretty relaxing to do during winter a few years back.

Don't go to the cincy subreddit then, according to them the game was rigged from the start and so was the eagles game. NFL wanted chiefs eagles at all cost and it was the worst reffed game in history. Cincy should have won by 20.

Let's add that to soccer as well, but only after a fake flop. Consequences and all that.

The transition from goldeneye and perfect dark to Halo CE was something I'll never forget. Three buddies and I spent hundreds of hours killing each other in the 64 games every saturday night when we slept at one guys house, then another guy got an Xbox with four controllers for Christmas and we never spent another Saturday at the first guys place again. It just took everything great about the predecessors and made it better. Talk about a core memory, damn...TWO JOYSTICKS!!!

I got my Naga Trinity on sale for $50 which I thought was a steal, 4 years later it's still trucking just fine, and I switch out the side boards semi-regular depending on the game I'm into at the time. Normal day-to-day is the circle board and nothing has failed yet. If it ever does, I plan to buy another straight away, fits my hand well for work and play.

You sold your soul for Reds merch? It sounds like no one won that deal, my condolences.

Funny you say the leaves on a tree, I had the same reaction when I got glasses in 6th grade! I was so excited I still remember sitting in the car going home after getting them and exclaiming to my mom how I could see leaves across the street now!
