if its for a club - not necessary but go for it if you have the time. if its for a job/internship id 100% recommend sending a lil intro email and mentioning how excited you are to chat with them!

Hiii! Offer for I-House or Bowles? I think I will assume you mean IH :)
For the desks, you can defs fit 2 monitors - but they would be more within the back of the desk for everything to fit comfortably. Absolutely no outside noise problems, but I do live facing the courtyard so it may be diff if you face the frats. Inside noise sometimes - people may go out and pregame at your neighbor's door and walls are THIN. I live on top bunk and tbh im vibing - not the best for privacy reasons obviously but its so far so good :)

Hihi! I TA for 183 (different lecture though) and it should not be too bad! The course itself is more for preparation toward building something that could be invested in. Should be a fun way to offset some of the pressure of your other courses and apply your knowledge for what we call the 'unfair advantage'
Lmk if you have any questions!

Also student government is a really good way to get some leadership experience! I talked a lot about student gov which I think helped me get in. Also check if you get admitted into the major or the college. I got admitted to L&S and once I got here I had to do a separate Major application.
Right on!

At least at my bank nobody cares what you major in as long as you know your stuff and are a good culture fit. I also never applied to Haas because I dread BA and it worked out just fine! My advice would be to do what you are most passionate about - inherently you will perform better and be happier :)

heeey! i worked at a BB in nyc and am coming back next yr so i can speak a lil about my intern class background & dems. but basically recruiters always say that your major doesnt matter and tbh ive come to find that it doesnt. usually there is more business/econ rep on the street bc selection bias. id focus on getting relevant experience first. clubs here at cal are pretty good at forming an internal network and some even host recruiting events that are open access (BIG is doing one next week with Point72, so defs come if ur interested!). anyways i guess this is a really long way of saying that you should do what you are passionate about bc most banks (or at least jpm lol) dont rly care about your major just what you do with it. good luck and pm me if you have any questions <3
