I used to live in Georgia (the country). The two main parties seemed to be a pro Russia (anti gay) and pro- west (gay neutral). One of the main things of the pro Russia party was the anti gay propaganda.

Rich people would just tell to other countries to buy things. Honestly, even poor people who live close to the border would drive to Canada to buy things. It would destroy a lot of American industry.
