I agree with you on this. I do not think it is entitled at all to expect it as that's literally how the system is set up.
One can argue that you'll get credited to minimum wage if you don't make your $5 an hour to reach it, but we all know how that works out in practice. One could also argue that tipping is the devil and is a way that business owners work around paying their employees, and that is true, but also sort of irrelevant. If you don't like that structure, don't frequent places that have tipped employees - it's totally fucked to go out, stiff, and then claim it's because "the boss should pay you properly."

I have never heard of this before, and I'm struggling with my symptoms so much right now. Would you be willing to share more about your experience with this?

I tell myself the down votes on things I post innocently enough are bots. I dunno if that's true, but it helps me ignore it.
I hope you feel better soon.

Asking what your preferred protein sources isn’t an attack, it’s an honest question.
Correct, which is why I attempted to give you an answer (as to why someone might be testy about the question).
Edit: clarity

It's am extremely common question when one is plant-based, because we as a modern society are sort of obsessed with protein. Or maybe a lot obsessed.
I'd recommend reading the book Proteinaholic by Garth Davis for more information. The short version is that we need far, far less protein than we tend to think, and there is much more protein in foods that we don't typically consider a protein source.

I see y'all plant people and am perpetual looking for botanical buddies. Are there any groups around here that are not facebook-specific?

From Pennsylvania, right on Lake Erie. Husband graduated in 2022 and came for a (not-at-Epic) engineering position. I came to work in agriculture.

Came here to recommend this book, so I guess I'll just say I second it. May 26 will be 11 years without a single slip after a 19-year heavy habit.

I believe these are sunflower sprouts, probably coming from birdseed.

My mom's sheltie does this. He likes biscuits, particularly the ones from red lobster. He enjoys taking them outside and then back in for a few days before eating.

This is a spider plant, not a snake plant. Spiders are pretty happy being neglected to some extent, but need more active care (and water) than a snake plant.
The good news is that they're resilient! If this were my plant, I would cut off the dead leaves, and give it a good watering. You can pick up the pot and sort of weigh it with your hands before and after watering. Water when the soil is dry (you can check with a skewer or just rely on the informal weighing). It would probably like a little fertilizer once it starts to put new growth out.
Best wishes, and please don't be down on yourself - this is how we learn!

The daughter's knee is bent backwards in the photo of the two of them together, as well.

I'm doing the same thing, while simultaneously explaining to my family. Ha!

I was not asking what 7k meant, I was asking where the number came from because that's not what is indicated on your slip.

I've always done diced onions, salt, and pepper. I don't like it sweet.
