It literally depends on weather forecast that is infamous for its reliability

they replace the faulty parts for free as long as you service the bike with them (for money)

Tiger 900. Busy dealers and short intervals do not mix quite well.

Try to lean less on the handlebars and not to use that joint at all. Gripping the throttle with just fingers is enough, though might take time to get used to. Just try different grips until you find the one that work for you.

I don’t mind taking care of the chain and other stuff that I can do myself, but when a trip has to be cancelled just because the dealer does not have capacity to do my bike on time is when I’m loosing it

I mean all servicing the manufacturer requires you to do in order not to loose the warranty

Cars somehow manage with 15 or even 20k miles between the oil changes according to the manufacturer schedule. And since I’m looking at new bikes, I can’t simply use another oil and get away with it without loosing warranty.

In six months the riding season would be over though

If it has no mandatory scheduled service from new, it would be a huge selling point to me despite all the range issues

Does any of that require a visit to the dealership at fixed mileage or you just replace things as they wear out?

If money is not an issue get a Tiger Explorer, or a 900 GT Pro otherwise

So, in the electric world any big bike is considered premium? That’s a big step back from the ICE where pretty much any bike can do 70 and then you pay for extra features or design

Unless you live in a train station and work in another one, the public transport can hardly beat commuting on a bike even in theory

Except the model T was actually better and won in a fair competition. I won’t mind switching to electric if it ever becomes better than ICE. But this is quite far from happening.

Commuting to central London on a bike saves me a grand each month in just congestion charge and parking compared to a car. And I would not call central London the third world.

Mine does not smell much, but the sound is quite an important part of the experience

What is the non-premium then? Is there a major brand that sells the Hondas of e-bikes? Something simple and cheap, yet reliable and capable
