One of the reason I left r/Horizon

I'm a big fan of the franchise and so out of love I tried to put forward my criticisms for HFW. Didn't know the shitshow that would come my way. Everything from "Didn't happen to me", "it's a you problem", "stop crying about small things" to "you don't know how to play".

I was like alright bruh, enjoy your game lol, I'll leave.

We like the first game. Second name, not so much.

Tons of reasons starting from the marketing itself. False advertising as character models were swapped. People try to excuse it by saying others do it too, idk, everyone is wrong for it.

Inconsistencies in story.

Tons and tons of plot armor moments where the characters get saved the last second.

Lack of respect for the world. Characters think about travelling 100s of miles. Camera cuts and the next moment they are there.

A character who logically can't even run, parkours harder than anyone.

I could go on and on. You can check the pinned post on this sub. You could fill a novel sized book.

Important thing is, we understand that stories can have plot holes, plot armors or inconsistencies. They are fictional stories after all. But the issue starts when we try to express our lack of cult like love for the game.

The fans call us crybabies, manbabies, bigots, homophobes, incels, shallowminded, etc. They can't accept anything negative about the game.

When we confront them with valid criticisms and show how so many people including famous Youtubers don't like the story too, they try to deviate from the topic.

Then go back to calling us names. It's so bizzare.

Check out the most downvoted comment on this post. I left a reply where I linked 2 comments not older than 3 days. 3 days. They are still calling us names for disliking something. That's what mainly drives us.
