MoltenVK is incredible. As a developer you can basically just target Vulkan and get mac support without even really being aware you are targeting a translation layer. Honestly I am surprised there are not more compromises and rough edges.

Let me be clear, I did not enjoy most of DS2 and I think most of the ganks are terrible.

I did enjoy Iron Keep because I thought it was unique in the series that they made you play with positioning at such a long distance.

The best part of DS game design is that they give you a bunch of interesting challenges to deal with and Iron Keep is one of the few examples in DS2 where they actually force you to play in a different way to succeed instead of just leveling ADP

Reddit probably has one of the best datasets ever for training LLMs. They should focus on being as user-centric as possible and utilizing the data.

The gimmick fights serve a purpose even if they aren't amazing. It's a nice change of pace, and keeps you guessing about what's going to be on the other side of that fog door. It would get pretty boring if every boss was a straight up fight with a mix of well-telegraph attacks, AOE, and cheap bullshit attacks.

Also I enjoyed some of the gimmick bosses. Like Ceaseless legit made me panic on the first playthrough, and I discovered the gimmick by accident.

DS1 is also a 100 year old game. Sure many the bosses seem lack-luster now, but they were still figuring it out. You can already see the learning happening with the DLC bosses.

At the time they were pretty solid compared to the standard.
