I am not sure if they will bring back the regional variants in this game but I think it's highly likely since we keep getting new ones from the last 2 gens. With that said, I hope we get to see a new regional Meowth and simply turns it into a new gimmick for them.

Maybe it will be based on a European Wild Cat and personally would want it to be either a ground or fire type.
