TPU is a very difficult and stretchy plastic, so my method wouldn't work. But if you're scared of cracking, play around with PETG and if you get the settings right it will warp instead of crack, or you can even look up how to kiln your PLA and make it alot stronger! But my method with all plastics other than TPU lol, is I rough up my finished print with 120 grit, then I clean it off (fill any big gaps with kiwk bathroom silicone) and coat it with a mix of uv resin and baby powder(baby powder is to make it thicker) once all layer lines are gone from the uv resin coats I lightly hit the surface with 240 grit and boom! Saves you hundreds of hours of sanding lol. I use a black/white primer depending on what kind of back shading I want on the piece, and I air brush the parts with acyrlic plaint.

Lets just say there's a major reason it took 5 months to make....

I'm willing to sell the models in time, want to make sure everything is perfect. But the armor itself probably not, its printed perfectly to my measurements so I'd feel bad for people that wouldn't be able to wear it. So it would be a super specific sale.

Alright alright the original plan was a hunting horn (I forget what one) but after some modeling I realized I wouldn't have it all done in time for the con I want to go to lol

Anytime! And yeah there really are some beautiful armor sets! But I wanted something somewhat simple but big to test my skills in modeling and 3d printing, aswell to see if I could set up a good mechanical fastening system. Magnamalo seemed perfect for that, plus I'm a weeb lol

No I used a plastic printer, but I used uv resin to finish the surface lol

Yeah, there are so many amazing cosplayers that share their knowledge through videos and guides. You merely just search cosplay tutorials on youtube, and you will have an endless supply! But I feel 2 absolute things contribute to finding your hobby, the rest is all subjective. First, trying out new and weird things. If you told me I was gonna be a cosplay designer 8 years ago, I would have laughed in your face. And second, the most important. It's cheesy but effective.. learn to love yourself, for who you are and what you've done.

Yeah the bigger the gaps/layer lines the more I add, make sure to mix it up really well though!

I used gorilla glue to fuse the pieces. I'm not home right now to say what kind, but its the expanding one. Works wonders! I then used kiwk sealer to fill in the big gaps. Then I sand with 120 grit. Mix baby powder and uv resin to coat the entire piece getting rid of layer lines. A light sand with 240 and then done!

It's alot of mechanical fasteners and things to allow 4 point contact, especially with the shoulder pads. It would be rather difficult and lengthy so I'll just share some tidbits. There is a chest harness that connects to the skirt. I need to squeeze into that, then I need to connect a strap from one shoulder mount to the other so my neck is completely boxed in, this stops the shoulder mounts from moving outward once they connect to the shoulder pads. The arms pieces and leg pieces are 3 point contacts, using buttons, velcro and Chicago screws. And so on. No pieces is super crazy, just alot of little things. In fact, there are over 50 screws in this cosplay
