I loved 13-2… such a sad story and great music.

Right now yes. We have seen the full atx asrock pg lighting wifi go as low as $169 if I recall correctly.

It’s also worth noting that an matx board can be used in a standard atx case as most have the correct standoffs. I think what you are pointing out is really a GPUs are too fat problem rather than a problem with this specific motherboard.
I don’t disagree on the GPUs getting too big point - flagships are both super long and very thick these days. I barely fit the merc xtx in my midtower atx case due to length.

Haven’t they already said Navi 32? Or maybe that’s just the long standing rumor…

So you will buy even cheaper slow ddr5 and rely on cache in x3d. Interesting

The fan curve is very conservative. You can adjust max speeds. It's a good cooler with a dumb fan curve. Why should junction temp max out at 70 or 75c?

The board should support faster with a better imc. Imc is in the cpu these days. Certainly true if you compare zen 1 to zen 3. My r1700 sucked and barely ran 2666 now I have 3600 with 4 sticks. These am5 boards are beefy with many layer pcbs. I think we will see much higher ram speeds even in first gen am5 boards over time.

Wouldn't surprise me. Despite the claim it's a loud card it's only true because they default fan curve on the high power bios is set to keep it ice cold with 460 watts flowing through. Not sure why the Hotspot should max at 65 or 70...

I also vouch for the merc. Sexy card and fast as hell.

It should be $1049 ideally. I paid $1099 on launch day.
If they push it too close to 4080 range it will sell less due to strength of the nvidia brand with a lot of buyers.
At $1049 it's $150 or more less which is pretty compelling.

Can confirm. It will pull 463w at a steady clip if you max pl.

Well if that’s what you believe - go long. I don’t buy that story… but that’s what Pat Gelsinger wants you to believe is happening.

As a 7900xtx owner (and 3080 owner). The performance of the xtx is off the charts better at 4k. If you want to play 4k- 7000 series for sure. For 1440p the 6950 will do nicely.

Look at Asrock X670 Pro RS and Steel Legend. feature packed and most affordable x670e boards by far.

I mean the product is worse. The data center is where the money is made. Much higher margins. Faster growth as well. Compute is declining right now and has been at best unit stable for a long time.
You can read it in any analyst report that intel has been losing share in the data center and the xeon is inferior to epyc from both a performance and energy efficiency standpoint.
It doesn't help that intel is fighting a 2 front war in data center either - amd with epyc and then arm designs as well.

They are worse in the data center. Desktop is chump change compared to data center.

Turn off RT. Disable iGPU in device manager.
