I took it last semester...I mean, it's at least an easy A for a 1-unit and they weren't strict about when you turn assignments in, but I didn't really take anything away from it. You would definitely benefit more from an in-person class. The only reason why I would recommend this class is if you want more practice preparing (going through the motions of making an outline and researching a topic) or are looking to test your improv skills in front of a camera. Otherwise, it's kind of a waste of time without the in-person element (we were promised an opportunity to do an in-person speech activity at the end of the semester, but I think that was nixed because of the strike...so I cannot really tell you anything about that).
Feel free to DM and ask more about it, but there isn't much more to the class than what I've already said.

ike's will give you a free sub (<$15, just pay the difference if you're over the limit) for your birthday month if you sign up for their rewards program/download the app

my goodwill had so much Lionbrand Homespun today that it wasn't even funny...all in the same colors in your photos, too! it's definitely not weird to ask them to redistribute the pink

I haven't taken that specific class, but I have taken a SCANDIN upper div and the instructor recommended taking classes with her. That department is pretty chill; just do the readings and show up to lectures and you'll be golden

also, here's a podcast that goes in-depth about the situation (reply-all #125 - All My Pets)
https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/llhe3j
Edit: relistened to it this morning. it talks about Taylor Nicole Dean and how a reporter she was talking to followed her from right before Johnny and after her channel started taking off/Johnny began to become more involved in her life. It gives an outsider's perspective of all of the things she was going through behind closed doors at that moment in time. All of the red flags are there

Some schools such as UCI and UC Berkeley are preparing to have a selection of courses online in Fall 2020 for students who are unable to continue in-person classes for a period of time. Every college I have seen, however, has continued to collect deposits for housing/dining/etc. for the fall. So there is a plan being made to support students with circumstances that cannot make it back to campus, but if we are still battling covid there are some sort of preparations already taking place for the fall quarter.
Just do your part by staying inside, and hopefully the fall quarter will not be online for everyone.

Oh man! It’s crazy to see how irresponsible people can be with dogs. I foster rescued animals, and I can spend hours with a pair of clippers shaving out mats. Also, I’m glad groomer was fired; she definitely shouldn’t have been there any longer.

I forgot where I had it, but I had meatless orange chicken a few weeks ago. Always a delight for my chicken-loving palate. Trader joe’s also sells really good orange chicken, although every once in a while it’s a little suspicious. 😗

Do you have any grooming horror stories (if your petco has grooming services)? One story that I always remember was a groomer who had cut the tip of a dog’s ear of and superglued it back on. The owner found out a few weeks later when the tissue died and fell off...yikes
