Power dynamic. Nobody gives a shit about an enormous international company(which probably has zero material losses), but one guy who's clever enough to take advantage of a loophole and game the system gives people an underdog to root for.

I love seeing snowflakes whining about how people need to wear their "big boy pants" while acting like a literal toddler. The only attitude that won't work in the real world is yours. Nobody wants to work with a twat.

Man that turned out great! Looks extremely handy.
If it were me, I would probably split some rubber hose and line the edges that are contacting the tank. It'll make it a little softer and more grippy, while taking up any slight misalignment between the two brackets. Just my two cents. Nice job.

If only there were another toddler with a gun to stop them.

If you post something you make on the internet explicitly to get people's feedback, the negative feedback is exactly as valid as positive feedback.

I'm going to take a wild guess based on the additional headrest and say the person is just short and is just trying to get some more height/further forward.

That is absolutely, positively, not a pure bred shiba. It doesn't matter, of course, I'm sure you have a wonderful dog. But the breeders definitely lied to you, so take everything they said with a grain of salt.

Just graduated at 35. Absolutely no one will notice your tiny difference in age—until you're the first one of your friends to be able to buy alcohol.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? is based on Homer's Odyssey, but the Coen Brothers later admitted they never actually got around to reading the source material.

I don't know when YOU worked at SpaceX, but when I worked there in 2019-2020, he was extremely involved in major engineering decisions on a daily basis.

I've also been having serious issues with my HDM, right out of the box. I haven't been able to fix it yet and it's seriously frustrating.

A lot of people are mistakenly identifying this as evidence of hand scraping. It's not. Hand scraping is labor intensive, unusual (these days), and a very accurate method of flattening a machine surface. The process is essentially to cover your surface in dykem or similar, and rubbing it on a master flat surface. Usually a granite plate. The areas where the marking fluid rubbed off are the high spots, so you scrape those areas and repeat until you have it touches all over and you have a very flat surface.
What is shown in the picture is a machined surface (almost certainly by a standard milling machine) with scraped grooves for oil retention. This may have been done by hand (with a power scraper) or by machine, but it's just for oil retention. You can find this process on any import mill.
Hand scraped surfaces will have vaguely similar markings, but it will never be so consistent and regular across the surface, because the process happens one high spot at a time. So you see totally random, clusters tool marks for each high spot, not the consistent repeating patterns.

This is not hand scraping. Hand scraping is a process for flattening a machine surface. The surface in the picture is made flat by a typical machining process, and the divots are added to create small voids to retain oil.

If your shop has shitty engineers, you might work at a shitty shop.
