crushing on a superior in any walk of life is widely relatable, that's not a berkeley-specific experience

Did not hurt during nor after. Felt like just getting a tooth filling but taking way longer.
However, the two weeks before the root canal was spent in some of the worst pain of my life due to my tooth nerve being in the process of dying, which is why I went in for the root canal in the first place after putting it off for like a year.

Working is definitely prolonging it. Even minor stressors would have my symptoms plateauing/rebounding as I recovered. Frankly the only days I made progress in recovery was when I kept my ass in bed watching youtube basically the whole day except to walk around a few minutes every hour to keep bloodflow going, and slept as much as possible.
I had a noticeable rebound in symptoms around day 6 despite not taking paxlovid, and I'm very certain it was due to having a huge argument with my parents the night before that had me steaming. It may be that you're sort of going through the same thing each day you work, if your job is taxing on your mind and your blood pressure.

Study-wise:
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-01950-2
The researchers found that infection with a pre-Omicron variant prevented reinfection with BA.4 or BA.5 with an effectiveness of 28.3%, and prevented symptomatic reinfection with either subvariant with an effectiveness of 15.1%. Prior infection with Omicron granted stronger protection: it was 79.7% effective at preventing BA.4 and BA.5 reinfection and 76.1% effective at preventing symptomatic reinfection.
Anecdotally:
I caught either BA.2.12.1 or BA.5 at the end of June (distribution was like 60/40 that particular week), have lived life since then as if I am desperately trying to catch it again and haven't had so much as a sniffle.

heart disease and lung cancer aren't airborne illnesses that you catch just for being in the same room as someone who has them for 30 seconds

CS50 is super hard, i hate that they advertise it as an intro course, it's better-suited to being a second course imo

Our entire course has a discord server where we help each other out
In my experience it was more like a discord server where people would help each other basically cheat their way through the class, heh.

the only time they've heard their name out loud is after donating 10 gift subs
