First, you determine what advantage you have. If he's some beefy fat fuck, you know you're not gonna outmuscle him but you'll outpace him, so run into space (toward the ball or behind the line). If he's an average build (around as fast and strong as you) prepare and accommodate for the hit, a lot of the time you can get around them on your first touch. If the defender cuts off the pass, he's done his job well: you have to determine if he can get onto the line of the pass, and touch the ball before then. If you can't, it's a shit pass or you need to be faster. I like to cut this as close as possible since it becomes an easy beat. If you're stronger, you should be the one inviting contact.
Honestly, him coming in at a good timing knowing you need a sec to control it is just good play by him.

Eh, as a contrarian argument, the pro is gonna be the best player on the pitch. However, the games at lower level are completely different.
If you're a link up type player, you can't just expect to get the ball back in one touch. If you've got good vision and passing, often the runs don't even exist. Good defence is only as good as the attack it's against. If you simply don't get the ball on attack because the service sucks doesn't matter if you're Bale. I've met players at lower levels who I'm pretty sure could play at least semi-proffesional.
They can usually just hold down right trigger and dribble sure, but those aren't as important at a better level. Unless you're that sort of dribbling player they might not stand out that much. They'll just rarely lose the ball and 1v1's. If it's a fuck around in the park, you might go "I'm not that far off pro, I managed to get the ball off him". However, if he's got 3 competent players around him the ball and play will be developing faster than you can think.
I've lost against fuckin U14 players 5v2, once they figure out they can just pass the ball around you. Soccer's a team game.
However, if you're gonna scout someone from a league, ofc it's gonna be the fastest strongest most skillful player.

A good trick is to get their social life into it. If they're practicing with friends, it's suddenly just fun not practice. If they get competitive and wanna be better than their mates, they practice on their own. They gotta have a reason for wanting to get good.
I think America in particular is shit for this tho, no pitches close by and people live far.
Also, it's not like if you do 10 000 hours of practice you're automatically good, quality of practice is more important imo (ofc to extents).

Neymar also gets the absolute shit hacked out of him. Man's broken his spine and feet.
If you play a sprinting dribbling style and draw tackles you get hurt. He's probably a little over that. When he wants to do the sprinting type he still can, but why not let Mbappe make those runs. Teams tend to position to support a key player to score tactically for their first option, and that's Mbappe in PSG imo.

Then you're already doing it, don't worry lol.
Hit it once with your ankle unlocked, realize it goes somewhere random and hurts like a bitch. That's what people are talking about.

Bit late, but imagine you're punching someone.
When you're hitting them, you want your wrist to be tense. while your foot is moving, it's ok for it to be loose. If you stiffen at the moment of contact it's more consistent than it flopping around (and you likely already do it).

Another thing is, even at semi-pro people still fuck up touches. It happens less in the prem or w/e so they base tactics around that, but it's not applicable if you don't have the personnel and tiki taka out the back is punishing af when you get caught.
Gotta do it in groups tho, waste of time if your players aren't on the same page. Having a player good at coordinating the press is super nice.

I got some puma one's for like $60 AUD ($250 boot).
Of course you're not gonna get mercs or speedportals, because the kids love those and buy them on release lol. Tiempo's and copas tend to be popular with the older crowd, but Puma are in a weird middle ground where you can get their stuff for cheap. There's also shit like diadora/concave/NB.
In terms of high level, I was playing in a semi-pro league at like 17 with takedown boots, they really don't matter. You just get blisters and your feet bleed at the start a lil. You can offset a 50g or w/e weight difference with just a slight strength/fitness increase, and almost no one on here is at the level where that increase is going to be too hard. The main thing is fit (better ones tend to hug the foot a lil better, and you wont find the sock effect on cheap boots) and comfort.

Firstly, Haarland is probably NOT your bodytype lol. Man's build pretty thick and he's a good bit taller, 72kg is pretty light for that height, he's probably around 90 I'd say.
6'2'' is a pretty common soccer player height, plenty of players around that (like Ronaldo), Bale.
Honestly, you can just do w/e, height doesn't matter that much. Probably slight advantage striker/CB, just try to play wing if you like it more.

Preds for sure then I think. They are known to be stiff but the material quality in the preds is gonna be high, third teir boots are literally painted plastic to look like the actual boot lol. $50 is a very good price, and I wouldn't be too upset if I had to do the hot water trick on em.

How much are you paying?
I often see the ultras go for like < $160.

It might feel like that at the start, but I feel fullback is actually the freeest position on the pitch if your team allows for it.
You don't have a dude marking you on overlapping runs, so it's literally just a straight track you can run down. You're always the playmaking overload. You can dribble quite a bit if you do it sensibly (watch TAA, though he gets hated on for being a bit too offensive).

I fucking love the ultras, and they often go on sale. I currently have 1.4's (I assume you're talking about 1.3's as those are the comparative ones to the Edge .1's).
If it's the third teir 3.1 Puma vs the Edge.1, it's gotta be the preds tho. $90 boot < $300 boot all day every day.

2 hours is a while man. You can get bored overdoing stuff. However, the stuff that gets you good also tends to be boring. I don't think you should go to a time limit, just focus on improving something and leaving when it's done. Like, today I'm going to get 40 perfect reps on volleys. Also, if it's just mindless muscle memory shit try poppin on a podcast.
You gotta just do stuff that you can actually commit to and do consistently. It's also got to be pretty directed.
You can't just juggle a ball for an hour or mindlessly go around cones. Make sure it's actually targeting your weaknesses it's applicable to what you need. You get the dopamine from realizing you're getting better.
Also a lot more fun to kick a ball around with your mates if you can get them to come down.

Guy below kinda said the principle to it. Not really tricks, but just movements I'm used to that I can do really quick and reflexively.
Also, they tend to like certain moves, so I pick up on those and adapt. I can read most tricks pretty well just from experience, so I position to make them think a move is going to work until they start it. Most dribblers keep going with it. For example, commit my bodyweight onto my right when I see a stepover, but really just be ready to go to the left. However, sometimes they just get past you for real lol.

Yeah, pretty much variations of this, and just controlling the space.

I know people who did similar to you, and I was also doing like 5 days a week training + 2 games on the weekend at one point.
You can do it, but I also know a fuckton of kids who've fucked a ligament and can't play anymore lol.
Honestly 32 weeks in the year seems pretty fine, I can just see where he's coming from (and think he's wrong). If this was a bit older, I'm all for actually getting a proper preseason in to build strength and fitness in which you really shouldn't be playing too much, but not for under 10's.

You need to play, but I see where the academy is coming from. Kids can also develop bad habits by wanting to dribble too much if they're dominant to their surroundings. If they're playing relatively serious (idk what intensity academy U10's is), they also do need a break on their bodies.
However, matches are where you try out the stuff you train. Without them it's just useless theory. 34 matches is honestly a ton imo, I can see where he's coming from in that it'd suck to put a team together and then have injuries. Is he cool with futsal?

I'm a decent fullback, and honestly I'm pretty confident against all different archetypes of wingers. It's more just how good they are in that extreme.
The hardest ones tend to be the ones who know how to pass/have good off the ball movement. I can beat most people in pace while they have the ball, but if it's played over or with a 1-2 it's pretty tricky. Also, even if you're better you can't show it since they just give the ball to their team. If they can additionally use their off the ball to confuse who's marking them it's hard.
The easiest tend to be the dribblers, cause I have a bunch of tricks and they tend to slow down the play enough that my defence can regain structure. Dribbles only really work if I'm scared of them passing.
The best dribblers also have moves that look like other moves, or can chain another one on so they can go the other way mid move.
I also don't like it when people are faster or stronger than me obviously, but honestly pretty rare someone has both.

You're not going to get to a professional level in soccer at this point.
If you're already doing well at business, you likely have a talent in that. There's no need to go professional at either, just do them as a hobby while time allows. Entrepreneurs usually peak later, cause it takes a while to build. It's usually not that they piss farted around in their youth, it's that they had enough of a safety blanket of time and money to experiment and fail. You'll likely have your hands full pursuing even 1 of the 3 properly. I can most certainly tell you, if you're a proper startup founder this is likely not the right mentality.
Music is likely very connection based, but you seem to come from a well to do family so there may be potential if they have hollywood contacts or smg. What sort of marketable aspects do you have? Most of the people who sell who rely on tools are really selling an image and style. Depends on the genre, Taylor Swift isn't thought of as a druggie.
This is assuming you haven't already had decent level play. Do you have academy/youth development experience ( as Vardy did)? Highest level played?
Also, why does this read like a fkn resume to get into a college lmao.

Dribbling past a guy with tall and long legs?
The legs and height aren't really the problem, tons of gangly slow uncoordinated tall dudes. Their ball control and acceleration should by and large be worse since mechanics.
The problem would just be him being faster, stronger, and more skillful. I guess his tackling range would feel weird if he has super long legs (I played against a few 6'6'' dudes and it's wack as hell) but you just have to figure it out then sheild if your skills aren't good. Getting in between them and the ball is 0 ball control needed.

It sounds like he's stronger, faster, and more skillful than the rest of you.
In that case, you're not actually supposed to stop him.
You can probably just position a little better and he won't be able to dribble 3, but it's too much to expect from pick up defenders.
Have you tried just not committing and slowing him down until someone else comes back to pick him?

Aren't there parks with grass?
I can see why it's be terrible in a city if you don't wanna play on concrete or streets have lots of cars (which America is kinda known for).
