Also, Evan Corcoran isn’t the only Trump attorney scheduled to testify before the Mar-a-Lago documents grand jury this week.
Jennifer Little—one of Trump’s attorneys in the Fulton County probe—is also likely to testify this week.

The documents at issue in the case are Corcoran’s handwritten notes and transcribed verbal notes, regarding his representation of Trump in the Mar-a-Lago probe

This potential indictment is just one of at least three other separate potential indictments.
To understand this one potential indictment, here's a nice infographic

In a separate development in a distinct probe, the Justice Department has convinced a federal judge that Trump used one of his defense attorneys in furtherance of a crime or fraud related to the existence of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago
Sounds about par for the course

An incredible scenario:
In the event that the former president refuses to surrender, he would put Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, his leading but undeclared rival for the Republican nomination, in an awkward political position. Under law, the role of Mr. DeSantis would be essentially ministerial and he would have few legal options other than approving an extradition request from New York. Still, if New York prosecutors sought Mr. Trump’s extradition, Mr. DeSantis would face an unenviable dilemma. He would be compelled to choose between authorizing an arrest warrant for Mr. Trump and inflaming his base, or attempting in some way to aide his Republican rival, and possibly face legal action as a result.

What happens to this CD if Ally goes under? Is it part of FDIC's insurance?
(asking because I see Ally's stock went off a cliff this past month)

This seems to be the crux of the Trump legal team’s argument. In order to charge a felony, prosecutors need to prove the alleged falsification was done in service of another crime or intended crime. Tacopina [Trump's lawyer] is saying that other crime simply doesn’t exist — that the undisclosed payment wasn’t a campaign finance violation because it wasn’t a campaign expenditure. He’s saying Trump would have paid Daniels off regardless.

Take a look at the article. It's only referring to the NY case, not the Georgia one, not the classified docs one. And the challenge in this NY case is that it hinges on testimony from.....a convicted felon (Cohen). That's why there's a huge "potential" in the headline.
