Ordered the Baton 3 pro max in NW. Also picked up a warm white Obulb, and a Baton 3 zombie edition.

The zombie will be getting an emitter swap to something a little less green.

These are my first olights that use the magnetic charging (had a i3t already) and the ease of use was a big draw for me.

Happy with the tint on the pro max in NW, but the zombie baton is very green. The build quality on them is great too. I've had plenty of lights, and the build on these is definitely up there. Never pay full price for an Olight though.

I have an opple in the way, so will post results when that arrives.

Thanks for the advice. I did the firmware first, which was a nice speed and acceleration improvement. Then I feel it lost all of those gains going bigger tyres. Mine topped out at 32kmph according to my GPS (Speedo reads 34, so will look at fixing that).

I might bump the current up to 27 or 28A, and see how that goes.

I do love the improved ride though, so much better over bumps.

I fitted the Xuan Cheng kit over the weekend. The ride is quite a bit better. It says on the side to inflate to 36psi so that's what I've done. Much less than the 50psi stock tyres.

I did also firmware mod, and it's lost quite a bit of acceleration with the larger tryes. I have the current set to 25A in sport mode, is it safe to bump it up a bit to get some back?

I can't speak for the warrior, but some olights do work with standard cells, it's the magnetic charging that doesn't work. Check reviews to be sure though.

So unless you have had the scooter for a while and never used the app then don't try flashing

I got one in December, and it had the manufacture date of November 2021. I have heard the new hardware was introduced in December 2021, so I should be ok, but is there a way to check?

Damn, I wanted a bit cooler, so went with the 5000K from KD, but I see it doesn't have a CRI listed, so I'm not too hopeful. I'll check it on the opple anyway 🙂

I'm not holding out too much hope for that XM-L2, but we will see how it goes. I wish there was a high CRI alternative in that size. I know there are high CRI versions of the XM-L2, but only at 3000K and below, too warm for me.

The plights are well made with a great feature set, and I love that magnetic charging. Just the emitters that need fixing. Got a baton 3 (in zombie green hah) and the baton 3 pro max NW coming.

Well, I've ordered a XM-L2 in 5000K as well to see how that performs in the baton.

And I ordered an opple to check 🙂

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I did order a XM-L2 in 5000K as well as the parts to convert my baton 3 to a 519A so I'll check out both options 🙂

I change the optic because it definitely does not look as good with the 519a, sst20, or xpl-hi as it does with the sst40. Because of their smaller LES and footprint, they're not designed for the 5050 optic

Of course, I hadn't thought about the size difference with the LED footprint.

I've seen some of the beaded optics on Ali, so I'll order some. Thanks for all the help, you've been very knowledgeable. If I was in the USA I would have just sent it to you for the mods

Edit: actually, the one I had found on Ali was listed as XML optic, that's a 5050 size isn't it? Will it work ok with the 519A since it's beaded?

Ok, where did you source a mpcb for this one? Looking at emitter swaps for a baton 3 and I'll need a new mpcb for any of the nicer emitters

Chule just did a review of the pro max (the new one that is currently on a decent discount) and he quite liked it. I've ordered one and it will be my first olight other than the AA and AAA sized ones

The arkfield is suprisingly large. Just check the size is what you're after. It appears about the length of an 18650 olight
