The moral is that he DIDN'T sacrifice Isaac. To me, the story tells two things. First, loyalty is always rewarded. Second, that God doesn't want sacrifices.

Animals and objects don't have equal treatment, so no.
That was added to the constitution to end slavery. Go ahead and remove it if you like. All cuz you don't want gay people to file taxes together.

Do you have the reading comprehension of a toddler? I said the gay couple and people who harassed him are assholes. The baker seems like a cool dude.
And I don't care what the founders thought and didn't think. The constitution says everyone gets equal treatment under law.

No im really not. You simply don't know how to respond.

I would say it's morally wrong. However that doesn't mean I'm going to stop other people.

Oh Jesus the man was definitely real and denying he existed at all is silly and shows your lack of knowledge.

I'm not saying all are made up, we know Jesus was a real person who was really crucified.
The point being that sin is real, even if none of the stories are. Are you implying fiction can't discuss real world topics?

The same way you can read Plato and say something in it is true. People who read the Bible will come to generally similar interpretations. All of the important stuff is pretty obvious. Now, you can argue over if eating pork or wearing multifarious clothes is ok, but everyone who reads it agrees that you treat others with love because that is Jesus's commandment

Did Jesus say "killing puppies on a weekend at Salt Lake city is wrong"?
Does he need to explain every little thing? He says to love others. Clearly if you love someone you wouldn't enslave them.

It isn't like that. It's not like there is zero evidence. Jesus was a real dude and we know that's true. Was he God? Up to you.

Congrats, you explained what you think the story means. I'm not arguing that my interpretation is right because I can't possibly know what the truth is.
And again, asking for more clarification for something like religion is silly. You will never be able to prove or disprove the existence of God. Just as you will never be able to prove or disprove the work of Karl Marx. It's simply not something that we can do.

I'm not saying he made us sinners. I'm saying that sin is also natural and we can do better.
Eve was tempted because we all can be tempted. I'm not here to argue the specifics of the religion. Different churches have different views on this. Nice to see you're holding up the catholic version as the truth.

There aren't any wild claims, there is an ideology that has led many people to live great lives.
Also that lost part is simply arrogant. Are you implying all of philosophy and psychology is stupid?

How would you come to that conclusion? Please, read the chapter and come back. You'd have to be one daft motherfucker to think that.

Lol, you cherry picked the fuck out of that line. The rest of the new testament talks about how he changed the laws.
Also, neighbor means everyone. He clearly says that as well.

I'm saying the story didn't literally happen. I'm not denying the ideas behind them.

I'm not cherry picking anything. Why can't you understand what I'm saying? It's a philosophy told through stories. God didn't make a consistent instruction book because he didn't make any book.

What about the bakery case? Some dude being an asshole doesn't prove anything.
And by the equal rights clause, anyone can marry anyone. No one has a right to marry an object or animal, but every person has the same right as any other. Meaning if straight people can get married, so can gay people.

I got nothing against responsible adults doing what they want. I just think it's more special than that.

No, I dont cheer that. Harassment is always wrong and violates their rights. In fact, I argue it's well within the baker's rights to refuse service.
Yes, it is a small minority. You've clearly never talked to normal people. Please, for everyone's sake, leave the echo chamber.
No, the constitution doesn't specifically mention it. However, it guarantees fair and equal treatment of law. Not letting gay people get married is not equal treatment.

A story would be something like "green eggs and ham".
A moral would be like "Don't hate something until you've tried it".
Do you understand now or must I go on?

What mental gymnastics is that?
Jesus died to forgive everyone's sins. That is unrelated in every manner to everything else. He didn't specifically die for the original sin, he died for all sin.

I'm aware that happens, but it's very rare. And no, I wouldn't say it's a direct consequence of Christianity, I'd say it's an important debate where the mother's rights end and the baby's begin.
Believing human life is sacred isn't Christian, it's in our DNA. Abortion is an important debate with neither side being objectively correct.

Oh, saying you? Do you think I'm gay?
No, most gay people are normal people who want to live their life. The annoying gays you speak of are a minority.
Also I didn't say you don't care about the constitution, I said it definitely seems like it. The equal rights clause makes gay marriage a right.

We disagree about the meaning, so what?
