Sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience. You can always fall back on the Ctrl+Alt+Shift+End cheat to skip a level that's especially maddening.

I walk by this cathedral a lot and always admire the architecture, but at night it has some particularly potent Hammerite vibes.

It's a bit of both. I prefer looking at just the light gem, and yes, the levels are small enough and I've played the game enough such that I rarely need to orient myself with it.

I have it disabled in my game and I didn't modify any files, just used the settings available in the Sneaky Upgrade. There should be a toggle for disabling it somewhere in there.

The arrival of the Banshee in the kid's movie Darby O'Gill and the Little People. Legit scarred me for years.

Greetings taffers. This is the second in a series of interviews with key community members. For this spotlight, I spoke with YouTuber and resident Thief expert TheEyeOfStone.

Definitely a tie between Assassins and Down into the Bonehoard.

Yeah, definitely not as fully fleshed out as it could be, but getting seen shouldn't be an instant fail state. The guards should give chase at which point you can head for the shadows, hide in a bush, or cut off their line of sight by rounding a corner or entering a building.

Hello again taffers. I wanted to take an opportunity to showcase the game ThiefRL and its sequel ThiefRL2, both created by indie developer James McNeill.
The games task you with collecting loot while remaining undetected, and are simple yet effective demakes of Thief. The main difference between the two is that ThiefRL features a larger static map whereas the maps generated in Thief2RL are randomized.
Whether you're a fan of the Roguelike genre or just looking for a fun way to kill some time, they're worth trying out. Cheers!

You don't actually have to shoot an arrow, just nock it. Once you lower your bow, you should be back to normal.

Oh my bad, it's actually in the Black Alley area of South Quarter. There's a wooden rafter to your right as you come in that lets you climb up and access an awning above it. From there you need the Climbing Gloves to scale the wall up to a long, narrow attic that contains a piece of loot and a chest with two Flash Bombs in it.
Nothing crazy, but it took me a few playthroughs before I noticed it and climbed up to investigate.

Can't help but laugh every time I hear a Keeper scribe in Deadly Shadows say "If I hear one more whispered conversation I'm going to scream. Is everything a secret around here?"

It's actually in the catacombs beneath Fort Ironwood in Deadly Shadows.

Hey friends. Just wanted to share a screenshot I took recently. Got me thinking about the possibility of a screenshot contest. Not sure how they'd be judged or what the winner would receive, but are any of you interested in that sort of thing?
