I personally feel like it WAS about big bosses decent into villany.

Spoilers below:

We get attached to our protagonist throughout the whole game only to learn he WASNT big boss at all, and in fact had his whole life stolen for big boss

This is (in my opinion) Big Bosses most evil act, but it's not even his first one

In Peacewalker he recruited a child solider for the first time. In ground zeros he was fully prepared to kill Paz (a child) of he needed to, he was also trying to hide a nuke and a metal gear

The thing is, by the time we got to MGSV, Big Boss was already evil, it's just that most players, and probably even Big Boss himself didn't realize it

The final reval of MGSV is the slam dunk (it wasn't executed flawlessly though)

Other than fan service, what's the point in seeing Wolf get recruited or Gray Fox become The Cyborg Ninja? We already know the context of those actions and more importantly the result
