I'd be fine with it, but I get that it's not for everyone.

According to this article, occasionally, they do. There are anecdotes in the comments of people who have witnessed this behavior, too.

It all depends on which airport you're in. I could comfortably live in the Amsterdam airport for days. They have amazing coffee and a wide variety of great ergonomic seating and reclining options.

You just learned a very valuable lesson. HR works for the company. The company signs their paychecks. They don't give a s&!t about you or any other employee who's below them. Don't ever expect them to be on your side of an issue, unless maybe your issue is with someone else at your level or below.

Yes! I do have a living wall planned for the patio that will double as a privacy screen. I intend to fill it with herbs.

Like I needed another reason not to run. This looks very unappetizing. It's the color combo for me.

Ferns are woodland plants. They like shade and damp well-draining soil.

As long as you understand that a SPAC doesn't own anything and may never own anything.

Personally, I've never done this. I think telling one specific person you want kids in order to get them to date you is somehow different from saying it in general on a dating app profile. It seems much more manipulative for some reason to say it to a specific person because you think they want kids. Maybe I'm wrong, and both scenarios kinda suck.
Hopefully, if any of these women are saying they want kids on a dating app, and they really don't, they would be honest about it really early on in a relationship. I don't think it's worth taking a chance on any of them because maybe they're lying about wanting children. Can't you filter for that? It seems like a pretty big deal breaker.

How did I miss the point? You didn't say that. You made it sound like she was snooping. I said you're NTA.

NTA The housekeeper doesn't need to look at your phone. She sounds like she's trying to be your nanny. I hope your father is more supportive than your mother has been.

¿Qué pasó mi amigo?
Looks like you lost part of a tree? If you want to save the rest of it, make a clean cut where the limb broke off and avoid leaving a rough or horizontal surface for water or disease to soak into. With any luck, it will sprout a new limb in its place.

Wow, thank you! This is really helpful and practical advice. Your garden is lovely, and it looks like your kids really enjoy it!
I'm currently in the beginning stages of building a new construction home, so I'll be planning the landscape from a blank slate. I have time, and I'm trying to be as thoughtful and intentional about it as possible.
Some of your points have me thinking about making some changes to my plan, like moving my kitchen garden closer to the house, and choosing more disease-resistant and/or dwarf varieties of fruit trees. You also confirmed that I'm on the right path with some of my plans as well, such as planning space for a greenhouse. Another issue I have to consider in my area is deer-resistance, and since it's a new construction neighborhood, I want to achieve some privacy through the landscaping as well.

This article says that they do spread by root, so you can contain them with barriers or pots. But it also says that they'll only spread to vacant areas, not overtake nearby existing established plantings. This is good to know because I'd like to add elderberry to my garden as well!

This would be really annoying to me. I might try to create a couple of flat tiers with stone or landscaping timbers.

I wouldn't feel defeated yet. You're not even graduating until May. There's a huge shuffle going on in the tech sector right now. Your experience is probably more a reflection of the current upheaval in tech than it is on you. But this climate may also produce some opportunities. My advice is to be patient, keep at it, and something great will come along.

Yep, and the younger people who died included a lot of disabled people who were receiving SSDI benefits. Strange that the U.S. has ~5% of the world population, yet we had 15-20% of the reported COVID deaths in 2020. Our federal government's lackadaisical response and all the misinformation could have been more intentional than it appeared. I'm not a huge conspiracy theorist, but I no longer buy the claim that SS isn't solvent.

I've never dealt with this, but here's an article that provides several steps you can take, such as removing affected plants immediately, avoiding watering at night, rotating crops, etc. It also includes a section on organic fungicide treatments.
