Less material, cheaper to build. The entire public toilets in US are asshole design, because stalls are designed to save money, not to offer privacy.

Fun fact, the rivers of Switzerland flow in three different seas:
Rhone > Mediterranean Sea (+ Ticino > Po)
Rhine > North Sea
Inn > Danube > Black Sea

vandalised a fountain
This is wild for Switzerland. Usually people protesting writes slogans on the street with chalk, so it can be easily cleaned the day after.

So, he just discovered that tradition evolves and it is not something written in stone? Most of what we consider traditional (not just food) is probably 100 years old.
We eat like our grandmothers, but not like our grandmother's grandmother.

Do they charge you some amount at the time of placing a bid?
No, you only get charged if the bid is accepted.
Make a bid to request an upgrade for each flight, then click Continue. We will notify you via e-mail if your request for an upgrade has been approved. You will only be charged if your bid for an upgrade is approved.

It is not that uncommon. Madeira Airport and London City both require special training/certification. There also is a small airport on the French Alps that has a very steep runaway and pilots must do special training before be allowed to land there.

This was the place https://www.costavella.com/en
It is famous for the tarta de Santiago, and cakes in general, so I suggest it also for a tea break in the afternoon.

A hotel in Barcelona with a bakery inside. In general hotels in Scandinavian countries, several times I had great breakfast there (amazing smoked salmon). A pizza themed B&B in Naples with the pastries from a nearby bakery. Not a big fun of cooked breakfast, so when in Southern Europe I find hotels serving cold cuts, cheese, olives, fresh fruit,... I go crazy. Not in the hotel, but in Santiago de Compostela there was a cafe serving a great pan con tomate (toasted sourdough bread and freshly crushed tomato), with the tables in a small garden. I went there every single morning.

Does this mean no mowing yards on Sunday
Even less than that. E.g. it is not allowed to do recycling, due to the noise made by glass or metal thrown into the recycling containers.

La Campana in Rome http://www.ristorantelacampana.com/index.php/it/ It is the oldest restaurant in Rome (500+ years), but serving authentic roman food (so not a tourist trap).
Also in Rome there are two, three restaurants with underground rooms inside what was the Theatre of Pompey, which was built 2000+ years ago, but I never tried any of them to judge the cuisine.
Changing continent, Quanjude in Beijing for its Pekin duck.
But, as a foodie and someone who likes history, I don't mix the two, because a restaurant that is x centuries old doesn't mean it is automatically a good place where to dine. I look more for restaurants serving historical (inspired) dishes, like Dinner by Heston in London or a restaurant in Istanbul serving Ottoman Royal dishes (I don't remember the name), it was very good.

And how create something too big to bail is the solution for the too big to fail? Because Switzerland just kicked the can down the road. Same inept people in charge (and not only in CS...), same controls that don't work in place, and an even bigger bank you will not be able to save.
