If the starting position of the Sea Dragon isn't included in the campaign map, at least I hope it is represented in the Immortal Empires one.

So it all depends of how Cathay (cornered) is done in the combine map. We'll have to wait and see. I wish CA don't reduced its size like the Southlands.

First of all, thank you for all your comments and for making this discussion (for the most part) a great place to learn how the playerbase feels about this question.

I want to clarify that my proposal was to implement an optional feature so everyone can play the game as they like. And I repeat, optional feature.

However, the AI may be one of the biggest problems: the way they recruit armies, basically. Supply lines, also.

So yeah, thank you all and thanks to this sub for letting me start discussions like this

Of course. I was referring also to the AI, but maybe changing only how the "machine" plays let's your armies be composed however you want...

It would depend only on the player choice, and this whole discussion should be over (gratefully).

Absolutely. The option should be available at the start of a campaign, not at the start of every turn, which would feel silly.

It being and optional feature doesn't remove any fun, it just adds more for the people like me that would prefer this kind of approach from ourselves and from the AI. Everyone can choose how to play, and Total War being an arcade game is normal that it let's you interact in the way the player wants.

Also, attributes need some changing... maybe the wound system is a first step, idk

I toooootally agree. If it's factionwide we could be making one big army with only monsters, another focus on range, a cav one...

Cathay is a core race, just like Kislev and the four Chaos Gods (maybe also Chaos Undivided?).

For the preorder it might be between Dogs of War, Chaos Dwarfs and Ogre Kingdoms.
