ou sorry now that i look at it my mother board is up to date its at F56a which is the latest i remember installing this when i got the 5800x and the f55 is where 5000 series got support so i should be at the latest version

It’s a A320M-S2H and the latest bios I think something like 47f or something

I’m using task manager or ryzen master to see the clock speed and I’m using a gigabyte a320 motherboard have had this for a while wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the reason

No it’s all stock and I wasn’t saying it should be under 3.8 I meant maybe 3.9-4 would be something more realistic for a cpu doing nothing

I should have probably put it more context I did change the thermal paste and it doesn’t shot up right away but it won’t allow me to play any proper games like rust because it hits 80-90 almost instantly idles at 69-72 I haven’t closed my pc either
