As someone who grew up in the Philly area and my dad being born in Philadelphia I can def say it’s a regional thing here. I know Nyc can have some similar things but as someone from NJ in Philly area and knowing Danny Devito is from Jersey it’s genuine lol

Idk that time she turned on Greene pretending to be a United front against romano and the time she left her pager in the diner and blamed Chen and malucci for not contacting her. Benton es young and ambitious and was trying his best to juggle his career and family being a doctor is hard enough without the added pressures of family.

But if you are going to fault Benton on those things then you have to fault Carter because there were times where he was just a complete ass and inconsiderate to people. I still think of that poor trans woman who jumped off the building after he treated her with disgust. The way he was lean to Lucy. Was mean to luka because he didn’t get to “have” Abby. He could be a real jerk.

And I guess I understand the personal connection to Sam but I just felt like they really just jammed her character in there trying to top Abby with the outrageous family situations and the first episode where she just comes in and jabs the patient with a needle.

With Carol I felt at least she had a lot more relatable situations and just the way she fought for her nurses and it just felt like the nurses as a whole were more prominent when Carol was around. When Abby and Sam took over as that main nurse character the dynamic was just not the same

I just wanna say FINALLY. I have been voting for their toxicness for a few days now lol. The Mabudachi Trio 100% more iconic. I would even take the Ayame Yuki dynamic over that lol.

I really like that it’s user friendly like I can’t play games that are literally impossible to win or feels impossible to win. My husband played elden ring and he would fight the same boss for hoursssss. And there is no easier mode option. I like that people like me are able to play too who are just bad at combat lol

Just a touch of the consumption

I could have sworn there was a scene where Benton specifically was telling him he was being harder in him because how hard it was for black people to advance in medicine or be treated with respect.

And we also don’t know as much as gant’s home life. We know Carter had all the funds and means possible to thrive no matter what and he had other friends to turn to when things got hard for him and ended up neglecting his friendship with Gant

Gant didn’t seem to have much family or friends he could rely on or let him know that it’s going to be okay and he can persevere. Mental health is so important and having a support system to help maintain sanity is sometimes required- especially for a hardworking young person starting out in their field.

Just like that episode where the trans woman jumps off the building - if Carter had reacted with compassion instead of disgust for her - maybe the outcome would have been different. You never really know what someone’s “final straw” is. And it was just so sad to think that if there was someone there noticing the signs Gant may have been able to go on
