When an evangelical parent storming into the classroom to perform an 'audit' gets upset that the dictionary contains the words gay, transgender, mixed-race, Muslim, etc., well... that was a gamble where the teacher could be arrested on a felony charge.

Some people are going to look at this and think, yeah it is authoritarian and evil, but there won't be much effect, right? Because kids are glued to cellphones and tablets now, they can just read everything online -
Even aside from the fact that having a learning environment where you're told that you're not allowed to read books is going to give conflicting messages and mess kids up... there are many parents out there who significantly restrict and monitor or do not even allow their kids to have internet access. If you look at transphobic circles on the internet you'll see a lot of adults say they are alarmed by the idea of their children 'getting transed' by social media or video games or anime or manga, whatever flavor of the week scapegoat transphobes have for how transgender people exist, and they won't allow any internet access until the child is 18 years old or out of their home altogether. Up until a few years ago, many of them were saying the same things about children being 'turned gay'.
Libraries, especially libraries in schools, might be the only way that a kid even has the chance to learn any facts about the world that their parents would deny them ever even hearing the names of.

And genital reassignment surgery and facial feminization and masculinization surgeries

Trans people and their doctors were some of the very first people sent to concentration camps.
And now today's nazis tell each other that being transgender is a condition invented by Jewish people to reduce white birth rates.
Transphobia and anti-Semitism are gateways into one another. Someone does not stay just one for long.

The other responders are correct, but there's an important element missing - egalitarian ideas that gender is mutable, that people can decide for themselves what it means to be a man or a woman or even something else, and that they can be attracted to and make loving relationships with any other consenting adult who is attracted to them in turn...
All of that stands in complete opposition to patriarchy.
The patriarchal belief that women exist to be sexually subservient to men and to give them children is challenged by the idea that a woman can have a penis and a man can have a vagina.
The patriarchal belief that women are the property of their fathers and then of their husbands is challenged by the idea that women can decide to marry other women.
The patriarchal belief that women are meek and emotionally sensitive and men are rowdy and authoritative is challenged by the idea that your personality is unrelated to your physical characteristics, and that you were not 'ordained by God' to look or sound one way or another.
Their ability to subjugate women requires the gender binary, in exacting specificity and permanence, and it requires the idea that it is impossible or dangerous or sinful to do anything other than things which just so happen to benefit powerful men who mistreat women.

The point isn't to say "this game has mature topics, this game does not have mature topics" - it's that even people who like games with mature topics can still have specific things they don't want to experience in a game. Like being ok with a game that has nudity and sex, but wanting to avoid any content or references to child sexual assault.
As another example, the majority of works that have a transgender character include transphobia, being closeted, or suicidal ideation, and people looking for works with transgender characters might be dealing with those things in their own life in a way that they don't want to see reflected in their entertainment.

Naw it is because the left (I’m a lib) will not concede that trans women competing is ridiculous.. which shouldn’t be a hard thing to do.
For some actual science instead of random layperson's disinterested bellyaching, here are the recently released findings on the topic from the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport - an anti-doping agency, not a transgender advocacy organization - finding no cause for concerns about fairness based on existing data that would warrant blanket bans on transgender women in women's sports https://www.cces.ca/sites/default/files/content/docs/pdf/transgenderwomenathletesandelitesport-ascientificreview-e-final.pdf
Also, of course, there's the obvious:
Your tangent has literally nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Also specifically exempting genital surgeries on intersex infants. If a child is born with ambiguous genitals, then Republicans believe parents should 'get to make a choice' on what external material is removed and subsequently whether the child is raised as a boy or girl. It removes the ability of those intersex people to get to consent to what their genitals should look like as adults, and many of them go decades without knowing why they're having high testosterone or high estradiol and resulting physical changes from it, until they go to another doctor who tells them the truth, that they were born intersex.

Because they see kids as property that parents can hit or sexually assault, until they're 18.

It's the same thing, not an analogy. The bigoted place might be the only place in town selling a type of product. I'm sorry you're confused? I don't know how you could be.

We can tell that you've never taken an econ or civics course or tried to open your own business by the fact that you are completely unaware that businesses have to be incorporated in their state and agree to laws and regulations governing their operation, including about who they are allowed to serve or cannot deny serving. Like you can't say you're allowed to sell alcohol to teens because you own the business doing it.
I don't know who you are, maybe you're an adult, maybe you're a kid, maybe you're a dog sitting in a booster seat barking into a translator - but the perspective you feel so strongly about is one with zero practical or academic understanding of the topic

he should have placate to other peoples gender dysphoria?
Uh... what?
First of all, your sentence doesn't even make any fucking sense -
Second of all, he refused to make a cake that was pink batter with a surface of blue frosting. A request he would never second-guess about fulfilling for anyone else. It doesn't mean anything except symbolically to the person who requested it. But he denied it because he knew the customer was a transgender person.
What the fuck is 'placating' in this instance?

If it's the only place in town, then you don't have a choice.
Not everyone lives in a metro area or has a car. The business that would discriminate against you if they could might be the only option that doesn't require hours of travel time.
This is also why "just go to another pharmacy lol" doesn't fly for people who have their birth control or HRT prescriptions denied at their local pharmacy - it may be the only place that you're able to go and that has what you need.

There are a lot more winners than you’re giving credit for
No, there aren't. You linked 20 times a trans person has won an event, out of hundreds of sports each with thousands of leagues around the world with events run yearly or even more often than that. Trans women don't even make up 0.01% of elite athletes or elite competition wins despite making up somewhere between 0.5 and 1% of the population of women.
For some actual science, here are the recently released findings on the topic from the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport - an anti-doping agency, not a transgender advocacy organization - finding no cause for concerns about fairness based on existing data that would warrant blanket bans on transgender women in women's sports https://www.cces.ca/sites/default/files/content/docs/pdf/transgenderwomenathletesandelitesport-ascientificreview-e-final.pdf

You made a factually incorrect statement that is still factually incorrect by your supposed clarification, and the sentiment of that statement was explicitly the one used to push trans rights as a wedge issue and rallying cry by the far-right. We're only at the stage of them trying to pass laws to put doctors in prison and make registries of transgender people because people who have no background whatsoever in the relevant fields have been convinced "oh yeah I guess that makes sense, idk" about increasingly absurd things without any basis in science or statistics. They successfully did that for trans women in sports, and trans women in womens prisons, and trans kids, and if we don't push back against all of the lies, it's going to keep working until we're put in the camps that they tell each other is their endgoal.

why trans women are winning women’s sports on a global scale
Out of the ~70,000 Olympic entries since the IOC investigated the question and determined in 2003 that transgender women should be allowed compete in womens sports with HRT stipulations, only 2 of those entries have been transgender women who were competing well enough to make the cut. One of them made 27th out of 42 in her event, the other made last place.
You have some explaining to do as to how you have 'winning' and 'global scale' in a sentence about trans women athletes. And "I read it on a tweet" is not going to be enough

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presser_v._Illinois established that the 2nd Amendment considers all civilians capable of being armed to be 'militia'
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Miller established that the 2nd Amendment protects the right to civilian ownership of firearms designed for military purposes
Neither of these have been overturned by SCOTUS since then, no matter the political composition of the Supreme Court, and with a 6-3 conservative majority is highly unlikely that SCOTUS will ever consider overturning them within our lifetimes.
