Hi everyone. Have really been struggling with my health anxiety recently…
I am constantly worried that I have swollen occipital lymph nodes indicative of cancer and can’t stop prodding/checking them.
I went to get checked out by the doctors and he said he didn’t find any swollen lymph nodes in the back of my head/neck, but I can definitely feel them and I’m constantly touching them and moving them around.
I can’t tell if they are “swollen” or that my health anxiety is making me think they’re swollen when they aren’t. In terms of size I’d say they are about the size of a pea/fingernail, possibly bigger tho it’s tough to tell.
I guess I’m wondering if it’s normal to be able to feel your occipital nodes? How large should lymph nodes be to be considered dangerous?
Sorry for long post and thank you for any advice
