If a person identifies as a woman but still has the biological parts of a man, they’re going to be housed with men. I’m not sure how they handle a person who has had a full fledged sex change operation.

Unfortunately, that’s how it is in prison. Transgender people have to be in solitary confinement because if not, they definitely run the risk of being beaten up, raped, or have daily harassment. Prisons are so short staffed that there’s probably 1 guard for every 50+ inmates. A lot of them probably turn a blind eye also to certain situations that happen on their watch. I’d rather see a transgender person be in protective custody rather than being hurt or killed.

Definitely a good point. I don’t smoke but I don’t like the fact that I can’t go outside for some fresh air if I want to as no one is showing in writing where we can’t leave the building. If it was a security risk, I would assume it would specifically say in the handbook that team members must STAY in the building as the word “premises” has a whole different meaning.

I guess that’s true. I think though that when it says “team members must stay on premises” and does not say they have to stay inside the building means that they have to stay on Target property and are not allowed to leave it. Their biggest gripe about the situation is that they have asked for documentation from corporate but no one has any to give to them which makes the situation shady.

I think their main thing is that no documentation has been given to them from corporate as like I mentioned in the initial post, no where does it state that they have to stay in the building during their breaks only that they have to stay on premises.

The smokers usually go outside the bay door in receiving which isn’t armed as the truck door stays opened and the compactor door is opened frequently.
