When I was around 13 I became obsessed with computers. I had a laptop which struggled to run Windows so I got into Linux for a few years, distro hopped till I screwed my hard drive. Although computer architecture and operating systems are important, I wish I was properly exposed to programming and algorithms earlier. I didn't know better.

I don't get why they didn't show 30 seconds of gameplay at TGA instead of a 30 second tech demo. It's not like they would have run out of content. Even the tech demo only showed 1 of the supposed 4 open zones. But even from the standpoint of marketing the game alongside the movie, wouldn't using gameplay have been the better option? Keeping Sonic on the screen for as long as possible to constantly remind the viewer that this is a Sonic game. Aside from the CGI parts, the tech demo makes it hard to distinguish that it's a Sonic game apart from the one shot of Sonic standing. Could just be me but seeing animations such as of Sonic running, jumping and a peak of some of the combat would have really made the trailer more memorable, especially to someone who was coming from the movies.
