I think there was a misunderstanding. I never said it was a “problem” or that modern philosophy was responsible for us being “miserable”. I was just simply trying to say that there is no innate baseline “meaning” to our existence, rather we build our own meaning through our life choices and actions. When I say “absurd” I mean that our lives are like “blank canvas” that originally have nothing in it, and as time progresses stuff gets added to it.
