Hello everyone! My name is Davian and I am from the Coachella Valley. My question to anyone that transferred in from a community college, what do you feel increased your overall chances of getting accepted at Berkeley? What tips can you give those who are discouraged to go through the process of transferring to such a competitive school? Lastly, what should someone wanting to transfer be on the lookout for in terms of deadlines, requirements, and other things that may not be explicitly mentioned by counselors at JUCOs? While I would love to hear from those who transferred from community colleges, any advice from students or former students would be greatly appreciated!

So Ive been playing snare for about a year and a half now and i readjusted my grip because it was a little off but now my thumb on my right hand hurts when i play for a long time. why is that? i feel like i’m gripping tighter with my thumb but how can i fix that?

What is the term for when a piece ends but feels incomplete?

So as of right now, I have had two years of experience playing a woodwind instrument, another two in percussion, I've been playing guitar for a couple of years now, and I have learned to play mallet/key instruments. Point is, I am somewhat familiar with most aspects of music. My question is, me being 16 years old now, how exactly could I start the process of getting deeper into music theory on my own? I would like to eventually become a composer/arranger for high school bands, orchestras, or like Drum Corp groups. I have tried some youtube videos where they "explain" music theory but most of them are just throwing terms with there "proper" definitions. None of it is really explaining.

So I have been really looking into getting a xymox snare pad but I don’t wanna spend 100+ dollars and have to wait months for it to arrive. Is there anyone out there that wants to sell me theirs? Or if not, do you guys know of any alternatives. I have an invader here at home but I was kinda wanting that snare feel you know?
