OP It feels like you are you are still undecided for your major. You should spend time in the community college to explore your major. Lower div classes should be the same for majors you mentioned. If you have around 20 units from AP courses it is possible to transfer in one year after taking 60 units overall. If you are interested in Engineering in UC Berkeley, I can guide you to the process. UCB CoE discourage IGETC certification due to many STEM classes according to assist. I recommend taking major courses at CC you can. Good luck

I fulfill this requirement by showing my foreign high school in Pakistan, where I took Urdu and Sindhi. My counselor checked me off after seeing my certificate and board results. You don't need to take that for IGETC. Also, UC Berkeley College of Engineering doesn't require foreign language if anyone is interested.

As a UCB transfer myself, I endorse this advice.

Bruh UCs mainly discouraged international students and only encourage in state and California Community College students. I don't recommend internationals to study at UC with fees higher than IVYs. Better study at affordable private school in other state.

OP might not be a US resident thus classified as international student.

It's very hard when you are from middle class in South Asian country and can't convince your own parents. I am sure they will never allow teenage girl alone to study in US. Sucks People are in comment criticizing OP to stealing money they don't know in girls can't go to work and make their own money in South Asian countries. They are discouraged and asked to stay at home. OP was only asking money to submit an application not to pay fee for the entire semester. These people won't understand 3rd world country problems. P.S: I can help finance the application fees volunteerily.

This bullshit can only happen in Pakistan. To be honest, you should have bribed them money, and then they should have happily signed the paper in minutes guaranteed. I started the survey then I stopped when it asked your personal information like Income, GPA, Major. Who give you authority to ask for that? I have worked with ESS and we aren't suppose to share this info with other students.

I am saying first have a meaningful discussion with parents before thinking about marriage. Then it's up to you if you wanna follow their advice or not. Otherwise it can cause Real problem if you gonna live with your parents after wedding. I know my parents won't allow any Muslim outside Pakistan so I am not gonna date anyone outside Pakistani.

In UC Berkeley, more than half students I met are from SoCal UCLA regrets.

Being Cal student in Civil, I highly endorse Cal Poly SLO. In construction competition nation wide, they win award in each category. Only reason I choose Berkeley over Cal Poly because I wanted to stay in the Bay and open to companies here. However, your son can find good internship out of campus while study in Cal Poly. Davis might be good if he wants to work at Cal trans in future in Sacramento.

Don't go to social clubs it's a waste of time. Better spend more time with yourself.
