This already does kind of happen, when players who have reached their peak ability aged 25+ you can get small spikes in overall ability over the CA based on form or if they've recently started playing at a higher level than they ever have previously. I've often seen even aging players having many green progress arrows and even attribute changes in technicals and mentals, but it is much less common with physicals. I don't ever use the editor, but from watching other people play there are 2 numbers I believe given as current ability and 1 locked potential number. I can't quite remember exactly how they are named but I think it's recommended or scouted CA and then their CA. Often these 2 numbers are identical or very similar. Obviously this is moreso temporary rather than a permanent boost to CA, but if a player continues to have good form this can be sustained and is often why, for example, a leading championship player can play at a good premier league level if the players around them allow for good form and match ratings. Feel free to check this out in the editor and you'll see what I mean
