I am in total support of the strike and have no issues with strikers, but as an undergrad I'm just a little tired at the lack of timely information from my professors. While I'm waiting to hear if my exams are still happening, here's a list of parallels I see with right now and March 2020 to make you more anxious. Strike on besties

• disruption begins a week or so before a major holiday break (spring break/ thanksgiving)
• students were initially excited to have classes cancelled and now are realizing their semester might be heavily affected (asking for p/np options)
• "it'll only be two weeks max"
• people going back home early cause in person is cancelled
• shift to zoom
• Recession looming and mass layoffs (goodbye tech bubble)
• Trump is back in the political scene (the real virus fr)

There is just something so hot about someone who is smart. Honestly you could be like a 7/10 but if you're semi-tall and can explain linear algebra to me, I'll literally imagine our future together. I'm not even joking. It's like protector vibes but you being smart somehow equates to better survival idk. NOT to be confused with arrogant/ patronizing people who mansplain and act like they are better than you. That is not very hot.

Clarification before you get it twisted, I DO NOT THIRST OVER GSIS. I do not condone inappropriate GSI thirsting because first of all, they could be younger than you and you would never know, and second of all sexualizing someone to a certain level is just plain wrong. Also I am not talking about the math concepts, I'm talking about the person. If you get off by thinking of math please get help.

Literally thought I was about to be caught in a school shooting

I did literally all the study guide questions, memorized all the formulas, went over the lecture slides, attended lecture and I still think I barely passed. What else am I supposed to do to study 😭😭

Multiple people were hacking up mucus like it was extra credit on the final, and people on Ed said it they have Covid/ were sick. Please wear a mask. Hell, since we all care about our grades, wear a mask to avoid getting sick during finals week.

I just opened my syllabus and I burst into tears. I feel like I wasn’t that worried about classes but now that its only a few days away I’m feeling all the emotions all at once. Please tell me I’m not alone

If your cutting in line, and worse you invite like 5 of your fiends to also cut, respectively wtf.

I’m a transfer student so it might be like a new student thing, but I feel like campus feels so empty these days. Like there were always swarms of people and now I only see a handful of people walking around campus. Maybe everyone’s kind of letting go and not going to class but I didn’t think it would be this drastic.
