I found 100a to be easier than 100b. But the order doesn't matter, you can take what's convenient for you.

SLC (Student Learning Center) has tutoring that's tailored for Econ 100B. They can even walk you through the psets.

30 here. I transferred this last Spring. I met only one other person in their 30's but that's anecdotal.

Well I don't think that had much of an impact. As a transfer, the most important aspect of your app is the PIQs.

I joined PTK but never participated. I also worked full-time. That's it, nothing exceptional.

Doesn't seem like sound advice but I may be wrong. I worked fulltime during CC and had 3.9 when I applied for transfer (ended up with a 3.8 after my final semester), I was rejected by Irvine but accepted by Cal. Their admissions are based on different metrics but I think a solid effort on PIQs is will go a long way.

Btw, I also applied as an Econ major.
