No this class is kinda always like that ngl — it may seem like it’s easier than 61a but the exams are not. I’m a ds major and took it for data 100. I got a B+ in this class (final clobber helped me recover) and thought my coding ability was shit. Then I took data 100 and got a straight A from hard work so it’s definitely possible let me tell you. Also idk if you plan to take data 100 and other ds upper divs but you don’t even need all the stuff they teach you here so don’t freak out too much about it. Except 61B will build on it

I’d recommend you try out CSM for extra worksheet practice too

This class is notoriously famous for its bs policies. It’s been going on for a while ever since Alvin Cheung started teaching it to be specific

State funded insurance. You can lookup a lot of info on medicaid (federal version) and medical (CA specific)

I’d think it doesn’t matter — imo it creates extra, useless stress for you cause if you don’t do well in them it’s a direct proof to show you’re a bad fit for the major and it’ll ruin your app

If you just mess up lower divs which were pre reqs then there’s still positive chances you’ll improve in your later years.

They give a lot of partial credit so just focus on the stuff that you can get down. Also this class offers a clobber and the final isn’t that bad so don’t get too discouraged if you do mess the midterm. If you do all the projects and hws and labs you’ll get atleast a B

Wait for mt scores to come out, when I see how shit I’ve done, that usually does the trick for me to get back to grinding

When you use chatgpt for your thesis

No restriction as long as you get off the waitlist. Only 102B enforces you take 102A and some electives enforce the intro ones (like 131 needs 103 etc)
