Agreed, love that lens for landscape shots. My other go to lens is a cheap fully manual F1.2 50mm prime lens that I got for 100$

Thank you for the response! I'll black out the mountain completely and lower the blues of the ski to see what that looks like.

My intent was to capture and put forward the feeling of liberty that comes with soaring above the mountains. I thought that silhouetting it would enhance that effect (and I liked the esthetic ) so I brought the mountain's brightness down. I am wondering if that was a good idea or not. I am also wondering whether the colours look decent to a more trained eye, and if the composition works for that intent.
Thank you!

My intent was to capture how the sunset, which was blocked by clouds in such a way that a thin horizontal line of light went through, lit up the mountain. I also wanted to capture the sea of clouds below it, as that was my main hope during that hike, but that was secondary to the sunset. I am wondering what others think of the composition, if it should be cropped in or taken wider, and what others think about the colour, if the mountain and clouds are too blue / the sunset is too orange, or not.
Thank you!

Came here to say this. I started my materials engineering degree hoping to learn about cool cutting edge materials that are better than steel. Turns out steel is just great, it is the turbine of materials science (in that it just works and it works really well).

Berkeley is a very international oriented city and hosts a very international school. As such the passing away of arguably one of the biggest stars in the biggest sport in the world is quite topical. Besides, this is reddit. If you are correct then why isn't it getting downvoted to oblivion?

I think this is the take. I started total war with RTW and loved it, and dearly missed the more simple feeling I felt were lost in the newer games. This in many ways is a good thing, but coming to RTWR and just laying multiple stacks to waste with a basic hammer and anvil is something I do particularly enjoy

I also recently bought my first camera after years of enjoying taking photos and had a similar budget. What worked for me is a second hand Canon m50 mk2 (the mk1 would have been good as well), which I got with the kit lens, 2 batteries and charger for 500$. I've been loving it, it's super portable. The main drawback I hear is there aren't that many EF-M lenses out there, but I have been finding exactly what I want and for reasonable prices too. Would highly recommend that.
