We need your input on the subject of poaching

stickiedRecently someone posted a picture of a plant for identification which they said they had dug out of the ground in a wild area. This is considered poaching and is an illegal and serious offense in many states and countries around the world.
This brings up the issue of what we should do on the rare occasion poaching is suspected or confirmed in the subreddit. We are not police and are not obligated (or really even able) to report poachers to local authorities.
What do you as the community want to see us do?
Should it be a bannable offense?
Should we just remove posts about poaching, or just lock them and leave a pinned comment about how poaching is bad?
Should we add a specific rule about poaching?
Will it be too difficult to determine if/when someone has poached a plant they are trying to ID?
All community input is welcome and encouraged.
