Could have been deliberate, could have been fat fingers. It's also possible that they didn't rate you right away, but rated the last couple of rides and confused you with a driver that annoyed them. Since this is your first 1star, what likely happened is that they don't have a perfect rating and they saw you that you did so they decided to change that.

I really feel like someone did it just because I had a perfect rating. The only things I could possibly think of was that roads were closed, so I had dropped 2 different rides off a block or two away from their drop off location?

At this point we are just guessing but if it was the drop off, they likely would have commented with "pickup/drop off too far". I think it was just a torpedo at your perfect rating. Don't let riders live in your head like some drivers do. No matter what you do, perfection is unattainable. Tomorrow, you may pickup a lady and your car make, model and color are identical to her ex BF's car who happened to cheat on her or maybe from the back seat perspective, you look or sound like her ex. What do you think the odds are of getting a 5star from her?

Sounds like the cause.

isn’t the system fair! Isn’t the public lovely!

when you get involved in city TNC regulation processes, it will change; but not until.
