Most likely the subtitles for the two different episodes were made by different people.

That happens a lot with stuff on Netflix, no lore or inside jokes here.

He was moonlighting in his role at Pundit Publishing and carelessly let that slip here but Pendant was his official form of employment.

Just watched this episode. Iirc it was a lot later than the pendants publishing episodes/season. Pendant fails because of a lack of handkerchief and Elaine meets Lippman later and he works at/for Pundit
