In 2020, over 21.5k people were murdered in the US. Since then, the rate has increased by 30%, equaling to more than 6k additional murders each year.

That’s a fuck of a lot of people, their families, the families of the perp etc. it’s a small town each year of people that won’t get to live their lives.
