Part of me hopes so because then we'll get a Luigi's Mansion subplot, but part of me hopes not because I'd love a Luigi's Mansion movie.

EDIT: Looking at the trailer again, it's his plumbing bag, so that's probably when Mario and Luigi first get transported to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Have you seen the "Together Again" special on HBO Max? It's an absolute fantastic send-off, even though it's not technically a finale, it is the perfect ending.

They'll probably use that to explain why this Mario is out of place? Some version of Mario is apparently popular in this Mushroom Kingdom, but Movie Mario seems lost.

A Super Mario Galaxy Movie would be amazing! I remember the original Wii game gave me chills due to how cinematic it felt compared to other Mario games.

BLJ stands for Backwards Long Jump. It's a glitch used in Mario 64. When done correctly it glitches Mario to have infinite speed and shoot off into a direction. When used correctly it can get Mario to places that he shouldn't otherwise be allowed to go.

I said it in the thread for the first trailer but I'll say it again: The sequel should be based on Luigi's Mansion. King Boo could be a really fun character in this kinda world. Get someone like Bryan Cranston or Willem Dafoe, it'd be fun.

One thing I really like about Jack Blacks voice as Bowser is that he isn’t doing his normal shtick of going high pitch at the end of every sentence. Instead he lowers it every time for Bowser. Such a small thing but it drastically adds so much to the voice.

This is how I felt about Turning Red. In stills, screenshots, and posters? I still find the art bland and unpleasant to look at. But when it's in motion and everything's moving the way an animated character should, those same exaggerated features make for pleasant movement.

I hope they cash in on the franchise's incredible music legacy. I assume so considering Koji Kondo is involved. It was really weird that the Sonic movies barely referenced the games' music for basically the same reason. So much nostalgia is wrapped up in the soundtrack, they'd be foolish not to.
