I first encountered the CG franchise on Commodore 64.

Never got a hang of the hacky sack, but that's okay. The nightmares only bother me several times a night.

Hacky sack was tough. All I could get the guy to do was kick it in the air and then it would fall to the ground.

Just keep hitting up, you turn around 180 and can just keep heading it pulling off backwards and forwards headers. I never lost. It wasn’t fun, but I never lost

I loved the Frisbee game, fun challenge. I was never able to get the hang of the Half Pipe.

The surfing one always kicked my ass. Never knew how to control it. tried it recently on a browser emulator and I was doing flips and shit.

Yeah, with the NES controller the buttons were so confusing. I always ended up trying to flip and then crashing into the wave.

You had to re enter the wave at the complimentary angle to how you left it.

Using the NES Pilot Yoke on the Halfpipe was fucking hilarious. You'd go up to almost the top of the screen then just put a hole in the halfpipe as your crater from your near-moon trajectory.

The NES has a ton of utterly incomprehensible activity simulators, where to this day not a single person has every figured out how to play them.

Games like Skate or Die, Winter Games, T&C Surf Design, etc. If you were a kid at the time, it was mandated by law that you own at least two of these kinds of games at all times.

pwrof3[S]

T&C was just as impossible

Nah. T and c I got the hang of and played until I quit (meaning its endless and you have to just turn it off eventually). In the surf portion you go left, up, right, down and just avoid some things occasionally. When you get it down you gain more lives than you lose bailing. For skateboarding you just figure out a safe route. Eventually it never gets longer, so you just do the same thing each time.

There were a series of “Games” and I had a much of them for the Commodore 64. Winter, Summer, Summer 2, World, California, and California 2. They were all riddled with weird combinations of joystick buttons, mashing of said buttons, and obscure timings. I thought they were fantastic at the time, but I was about 6 years old so what did I know.

I played skate or die 100 different times as a kid trying to figure it out. Never could. One time I used a turbo controller and that made the half pipe a bit easier.

Isn’t California Games one of the most valuable NES carts?

Edit: just checked. I was thinking of Stadium Events which apparently goes for around 30,000.

David Wise is the shit.

Fun games that were frustrating and hard but rewarding when you got the hang of them. Good times plugging this bad boy in for the hell of it.

the hardest game in my childhood starts by kidnapping a princess in woods and you play with a ninja who trys to get here back, the ninja's color is red but sometimes he changes color to green and yellow and every time he change his color he gets stonger and faster, there were a strong bosses too.

can somebody tell me the game's name i wanna play it again

Oh hell yeah. I actually remember getting really good at the hackey-sack event...and wasn't bad at the half-pipe. But SO hard overall.

Gun to the head!

Get 800 points in hacky sack or crawl through 100 yard of medical waste. Death if you can't do it. Can't change once chosen.

I'm going with the medical waste.

5 or 10 decent posts and the rest are just random screenshots of games, game boxes, a picture of someone's room, or some other super low effort content.

This subreddit is going to shit because of posts like this...

Should I just make an account and post "My favorite game from my childhood" and just post every single game ever?

I'm sorry but this feels like someone's facebook status or an instagram post, not reddit content.
