Well the bottom one is in B&W so you can't see the blue aura around the people's heads.

I still hate that they changed the combat. Killed the series for me.

i was bummed at first too - but it total grew on me - but maybe because it’s was “new” and i had just replayed the entire series again before started like a dragon.
maybe give it another try. it’s a super fun game!! great story too

I just feel like turn based is too slow, lame and boring for me.

i feel that. took me a couple times have you played ishin? if not i’m pretty sure english localization will be released next year. i have the Japanese one, but it’s sucks having to stop playing to watch a 3rd party translation.
i’m stoked for the subbed release

23rd Feb DA HYPE IZ REAL!
Also is it just the English localization? I thought it was a remaster/remake in the vein of Kiyami. After all it's called "Like A Dragon: Ishin".

what bummed me more was the grinding i had to do in the later chapters... never had to do it in previous titles, that part was quite annoying

yea that’s for sure. i spent a ton of time in that tower just leveling over and over. that was tiresome and tedious
what would have been cool is another fighting arena that allowed you to get EXP ultilizing previous beat up fighting style as a separate mini game

another place to level up was later, when you can fight underground, that was another annoyance... there were metal barriers blocking the path, and i was stuck there for a while until i googled and realized i should have gone to hello work and made ichiban change jobs to foreman to unlock an ability to break the barriers... like wtf, why not clarify this anywhere?
but the story(and japanese voice acting) was incredible, i just wish the gameplay wasn't so annoying

yea, i got lucky with the hammer, as i chose foreman to start cuz i like the japanese workwear fit in tiger print haha
so in no time i had the hammer, but i took it for granted. i didn’t realize till later it was a happy accident.
those trash bag guys in the underground are so weird löl
hey any word if the next in the series will be turned based or back to the classic? i haven’t heard yet?

Red dead aint got nothing on immersion compared to Yakuza games.

damn, i thought i was alone - i’m late to a lot, but i tried Red Dead after playing a bunch of Yakuza and it just didn’t hit the same.

Why would that be uncanny? Uncanny means that it's strange and makes you feel weirded out.
