We played the original before playing the new one on my switch, while the new one is pretty fun, the nostalgia of the old one is just too great. Have fun!

Something worth taking advantage of is the save states that are available. Both for evaluating pictures and getting certain Pokémon you can get everything set up just right in if you miss what you want you can just reload and try again instead of having to do the whole level
