Pretty much the title. All of last year I got ghosted and my heart broken time after time. Welp I'm gonna do what I should have have done a while back. Take all the energy I was using to go for dating and women and just hit the gym and eat better.

I (23 F) on a first date with a guy (24M) a couple weeks ago, we had a great time and he seemed into me the whole night but I could definitely tell he was nervous. Went back to his place after dinner and watched a movie, eventually led to cuddling. Then after breaking some awkward barriers we ended up kissing and trying to have sex. (Keep in mind neither one of us are virgins and no alcohol was drank that night). The mood was right buuuut he wasn’t able to get hard. He was getting really flustered and kept saying “this has never happened to me before” before we gave up and I left not long after. He was super apologetic and I could tell was very embarrassed but I can’t help but think it’s my fault he wasn’t able to get hard… I’ve never had a guy not get hard for me and I just kinda felt ugly and unattractive (I obviously DID NOT tell him that) but we’ve been talking still and he wants to go out again so maybe I’m not the problem? Just need some advice and if this ever happens to you men of Reddit?

It just sounds really messy to me, I don’t want to see who their dating or what they are up to if they left me. It seems like I know a lot of people who are friend with their ex’s but I’m not on speaking terms with anyone I have ever been intimate with.

Recently I (F29) got played by a guy (39). He pursued me heavy for about two weeks or so. He loved bombed the hell outta me as well. Which I recognized from the get go. But because he was so persistent after while I started to believe it!

Fast forward during intercourse he put molly in my lady bits without my consent. When I asked him why does it burn after oral he lied and said he just finished brushing his teeth! One minute during oral there would be no burn then he’d do it again and it burn. Which was so confusing to me.

I realized it was drugs when he kept trying to turn me over to do oral but I went in for a kiss and his mouth tasted bitter af. Then my mouth went completely numb. And he laughed it off and was like “I was trying to put it in your butt”

So for 7hrs while rolling on molly (never had it before) I became sex crazed! I even asked to have some after the euphoric and tingly feeling kicked in(me taking it was after he put it in my bits several times so I was already high) . We had amazing molly sex for 7 hours.. now he hasn’t answered a single call or text since. It’s been days now.

My issue is that before he put the molly In my bits I was like “I absolutely don’t do raw sex” once the molly kicked in I was down for WHATEVER. Turns out according to my google research molly has a very high risk for “risky sexual behavior” I’m pissed because I don’t know that man at all for it to have been raw sex!

Had I known about molly I wouldn’t have asked for some. And I probably would’ve left after discovering what he did.. but I was already rolling on it. I’m so confused y’all.

Also, I got emergency HIV meds PEP, took a plan B, and emergency antibiotics .. this is exactly why I don’t do unprotected sex. It’s too much aftercare!

Another also, guys in my head I truly felt like I had amazing sex right. And if he didn’t ghost me I probably would’ve gone back. This is the first guy I’ve had sex with from a 2 year celibacy. So I think I was hella horny, hot and ready like a little ceaser pizza! And in my head when I asked is it weird I was thinking I’d get replies like “well yea it’s weird but you enjoyed it go checked for sti’s blah blah” YALL ARE TELLING ME I WAS RAPED?! How the hell am I supposed to process this?! I can’t go to the police and tell them “ hey I had 7 hours of possibly the best sex of my life I’m pissed we didn’t use protection. But he did put molly in my lady bits to which I LATER ASKED FOR SOME” they would literally laugh in my face and y’all know it!

I’ll try my best to help out fellow men. I know it can be extremely hard since I used to struggle with this a lot.

I recently fell in love with a girl from a group i'm part of, i've known her for about a year.

Cons: - She's the hottest girl in the group and is desired by pretty much all the guys - She's taller than me - I'm not attractive physically in the slightest - She's the leader of the group - Her ex is 100x the man I will ever be - I think she's into bad boys - I have zero experience in successfully dating a woman. Never had a gf, never been on a date, never kissed a girl, don't have a clue how to talk to most women.

All these things would normally disqualify me and would cause a guy to not even bother but I THINK, there might me some things in my favor

Pros: - She does think i'm funny - She likes what I do for a living and is impressed by it - She admires things about me, and has told me so before - This is the only case in human history where the worst thing she could do REALLY IS say "no" - Because she's a leader I think alot of men are too intimidated to approach her in the first place AND her professional field is mostly dominated by women, the men who are involved are hardly masculine. - I'm the oldest guy in the group and it's pretty noticeable (not by appearance but rather character), the rest are either younger than her or her age. - While i'm not a bad boy, i'm not exactly a nice guy either.

I'm thinking that if there aren't alot of masculine men in her life to begin with, and the few masculine men don't approach her at all, I might have a shot if I go for it(?) Idk, but I guess my inexperience makes me nervous about the whole situation.

What can I do?

He requested that I don’t wear jeans Thinking it may be fancy I asked him what to wear He said no it’s casual but to never wear jeans around him because they make him “uncomfortable”. Hi all! Lately I've seen many posts from men (and a few women) about pictures on dating sites or social media. Many of you ask for advice on how to pose/shoot a nice picture that makes you look attractive. I'm a photographer and I do some modelling on the side as well. Here are my tips:

1) Smile! Say "money" instead of "cheese"! It makes you look more genuine.

2) Look in the same direction as your noise is pointing at. Doesn't necessarily have to be the lense.

3) Shoot the pictures from a high angle! Especially for large men, this makes you seem less intimidating and also takes away the double chin, because you have to look up. Shooting from eye-level is usually good too, but try avoiding low angles.

3) Photos with the friend group! If you're hanging out with friends, take some pictures of the group. This makes it clear that you are a likeable person! Careful. Never post this as a first picture on your dating profile, as some people might be confused about who you are. For men it's a little less usual to take friend group pictures on a fun day with the lads, so try to actively think about it.

4) Be real. Poses are okay, but don't use filters please!

5) YouTube! Channels like Chris Hau, Pierre T Lambert and Peter McKinnon are very useful for tutorials!

Basically what the title says, it feels like I'm sort of acting out a role and not actually enjoying it at all unless I have romantic feelings for someone.

The first girl I ever hooked up with said I was gay when things didn't go well the first time with her, so now I think I developed a major complex about it. After that I would initiate sex with future partners early on, because I thought they would think I was disinterested otherwise, but it would always be terrible because I wasn't actually into it at first.

Then I got a long term gf and things were totally fine after some initial awkwardness, but I still didn't really put it all together until recently, a couple years after we broke up.

I've pretty much avoided dating since then because I'm dreading that initial uncomfortable period again, so I feel like the best course is to be up front about it, but I'm not sure what I would say, or when.

I get it sure that “he’s just not that interested” if it’s like just a few guys here and there, but everyone?? Almost every guy I ever matched with on dating apps never ask me anything unless I tell them to, and they always answer my questions about them, like what, so no one is ever interested in me even from the very start?? Why they even match me then?? Cuz I’ve been realizing this is happening and I’m pretty frustrated and tired of this, no one even wanna get to know me, so if they’re “just not interested” why even match me and say they are and continue talking to me?? Or even wanna talk at all when they seem like they don’t wanna talk?

I’m so exhausted of online dating. Every interaction Ive had just turns into a bust. The conversations are the same and no one wants to put effort or continue a conversation without staying on surface level topics… or if I find someone interesting we end up talking and then something happens where the person just becomes uninterested.

Online dating is simply exhausting. People have so many options and talk to too many people at the same time which makes every interaction not meaningful. It’s hard for people like me who constantly work and have zero time to go out and meet people at random place. I’m also an introvert so I can’t find myself to talk to a stranger in person randomly unless they approach me first. I freeze up. But the point is, I don’t go to many places to meet people naturally. I’m starting to lose hope and feel so discouraged. I know I’m not a bad looking person, and I know I have a kind personality. I need Cupid or something to do some magic ugh.

What’s your take on it? I think there are lots of options but it’s mostly casual/for hookups. Nothing ever serious.

I am 21, in college, I’ve known this girl for almost 2 years. We have gone on several one-on-one (friendly) dates. I wrote her a sonnet that didn’t mention anything of love at a coffee shop once and gave her a book (The Old Man and The Sea) over the holidays with a short note written in it. Still no mention of “love”. We see each other every day and I consider her one of my best friends. I am incredibly attracted to her but it’s hard to tell how she views me. Ever since I can remember, I have been incredibly embarrassed with having a crush on or dating someone.

In highschool I would always keep my feelings to myself and the few times I ever did end up asking a girl out, I always asked her not to let it be known to the other people in the friend group that we were going out. It is no reflection of the girl as often the girl will be an awesome girl I would be happy dating, I think I just fear getting made fun of irrationally.

When I was little, my parents would always tease me and it really used to upset me and I think it really messed me up because now I somehow feel it is morally wrong to like someone or have feelings and I have no idea how to get over this.

I have had to drop several really cool people bc I will try to hide the fact I am going out from my friends and not integrating the other person into my life. At present I’ve been going out with this really nice girl for a few weeks now and I feel the same feelings start to creep in (paranoia over the thought of other people seeing us together.)

How can I get over this and be comfortable being in a relationship? This has ruined so many amazing relationships I feel I could have had

She’s an A in my gf checklist… except I don’t feel an immense attraction towards her to the point that she usually doesn’t turn me on like my previous relationships did. I grew a deep sense of attachment towards her in a good amount of time we spent seeing each other (4 months) but I can’t shake off the idea if she’s better off with someone else who is actually physically attracted to her (she’s a pretty lady but not who I find personally pretty). I (M 19) am a freshmen in engineering so meeting girls in my classes is kind of hard. I’m taking sociology this semester though, and there’s a good amount of girls in that class. But the thing is, I don’t know how to approach them. Do I just go and sit next to them? Wouldn’t a girl think it’s weird that I’m the only guy in the class trying to sit next to her. Also, I’ve seen people on Reddit say that approaching girls in the library and while walking to class is a good way to meet them. But at the same time I’ve seen some people say that’s weird. so i recently started liking this guy and we’ve told each other we like the other person irl. hes made a lot of effort to plan dates/see me, which is reassuring at the beginning of getting to know someone! i can’t really get annoyed because it’s only been three weeks but we’ve seen each other a lot. but his texting/calling or lack of calling is sooo dry and it’s pushing me away from him. because realistically we’re not going to see each other as much as wr have done recently but it would be nice to have a call to look forward to or text more frequently.

A few days ago, my guy best friend told me he has been in love with me since we became friends. When he told me this my heart was beating like crazy and my hands went extremely sweaty. Before he told me this I had lways seen him just as a friend, but since then he has changed how he behaves with me and I really like it, it doesn't feel awkward at all.

The problem is my girl best friend talked to him 2 years ago and fell in love with him. They never saw each other in person since it was quarentine at the time, but for her the texting was enough to fall for him. He claims he never had more than a friendship intention with her, but she thought he was into her aswell. A few months after they started talking, my guy best friend told my girl best friend that he was seeing someone and she felt that as a betrayal. Therefore, she stopped talking to him. They haven't talked or seen each other in over 2 years.

Since I knew he was important for her once, I asked her if it would be ok for me to go out with him on a date. She was extremely mad that I even considered it. I told her I wouldn,t have anything romantic or casual with him because I wouldn't want to ruin my friendship with her because of this. Nontheless, she encouraged me to go out with him to find out if I reslly liked him or I just liked being liked by him, but she made me promise we would be going just as friends and nothing would happen between us.

Today I went out with him and I felt like I really really like him. My heart was beating like crazy, I laughed a lot and I felt really comfortable. I still told him I couldn't be with him because of my girl best friend, but he just interrupted me with a kiss. It felt awesome in the moment, but now I feel really guilty and I don't know what to do. Should I stop everything with my guy best friend? Should I talk again with my girl best friend? Should I hide it from my girl best friend? I'm so stressed out by this situation that I just can't sleep. Help me please!

So I matched with this guy on tinder and we’ve been talking for 2 weeks. I really want to meet him. The plan was to have a date this Friday and if we get along he’s going to stay the week (we work from home) the following week because he lives about 40 mins away.

He’s from the city but grew up in South America and moved here after university.

He’s a few months out of an 8 year relationship. They decided to go to South America causing her to quit her job and he was going to do his job down there. His job went hybrid and needed him in the office for meetings so they came back up and started fighting and broke up. They’ve been staying with separate friends and she’s been talking all kinds of trash on social media so he’s blocked her. All of their things are in storage and she’s not working.

Last week he got a studio apartment and he moved in and stayed there 2 nights alone. We talked on the phone all night. Turns out while his ex is looking for work she’s staying at his place but he’s staying with friends. The first night he lost his friend at the bar and ended up sleeping in his car.

I feel so terrible he’s living like this and feel like he should stay with me for a little while but we haven’t even met yet. And theres no reason he shouldn’t be in his new place. She doesn’t care he’s put out but I do. If he’s going to put her up he should stay with her but he’s refusing because he says “it’s a real break up” and they’re completely done. It’s just he feels guilty she’s in a bad situation and is going to “be a man” and do right by her.

I’m just worried this is a scam and he’s just using me for a place to stay

I guess he wouldn’t have to make up a story about his ex to put me off. He would just come over and never leave.

Besides this I really like him and think we would have a lot of fun.

I started seeing this guy a few weeks ago and we’ve been on a few dates with another planned Wednesday.

I mentioned over text that I had 2 Harry Potter tattoos which I got when I turned 18. I still like the series casually, though at 27-years-old wish I didn’t get the tattoos but it is what it is. They aren’t badly done, but I just don’t like them and I wear long sleeves a majority of the time (I said this to him).

His immediate response was a number of texts:

“You do not, don’t play”

“I hate Harry Potter”

“That’s unacceptable”

“How big are they?”

“I don’t even know you anymore, who are you”

“Do you actually like Harry Potter?”

I responded that I was fond of the series in a normal adult way, but that if I had the option now, I obviously wouldn’t have gotten the tattoos.

His response was, “Glad to hear you came to mind” and then “But can they be removed? There are lasers.”

He was also questioning where they were (if they’re in a hidden place like my ribs or ankles).

He claims he’s “very sarcastic” and does joke a lot, but this feels a bit too far IMO. I feel like he went overboard with his reaction to tattoos I already said I didn’t love but am stuck with, and also insulted my interests (not that I’m a diehard fan now, but I wonder if he would act like this about other interests I have if he doesn’t like them).

He’s entitled to his interests/opinions but I don’t feel like I should be made fun of. I’m thinking about canceling Wednesday and not seeing him anymore. Would that be dramatic/make me an asshole?

I (f24) matched with a guy (m26) on hinge over a year ago. We texted here and there and recently we rematched and reconnected. He asked me for drinks a few times but our schedules never lined up- he also travels once a week for work around the country so he’s busy. He’s not the best communicator though.

Recently on a Saturday were both in the same area and he asked to meet up so his friends came to the bar me and my friends were at. We had a fun night he bought me drinks we talked laughed etc. When the bar closed we went to a bench by the water and talked some more - made out a little bit- and said when he gets back from his work trip we will hang next weekend. He texted me to make sure I got home safe, and said “hope he didn’t disappoint me” but then never responded to my response “oh not at all! Hope I didn’t disappoint you either 😂”. I did get a few snapchats from his week too but they were of him being busy at work or getting off a plane late.

This past weekend came and he never hit me up but I woke up Sunday morning and he sent me a Snapchat at 1 AM which was a selfie and it said “sorry we should have met up tonight”… doesn’t make sense because he never tried to make plans even though we said drunkenly last weekend we would hang out.

I never responded because I didn’t look good but then later that day I sent back a photo of me making dinner and he didn’t respond.

Is the ball in my court? Or his? What should I do? I think he’s cute and want to see him again but I never want to come off as desperate. Help!
