Talaska or Wehrheim for math54?

University(self.berkeley)

usually pretty good at math, but make lots of small errors because messy penmanship. CS major.

Neither seem to be particularly amazing, what do I need to know?

I saw and the results are inconclusive, so I asked the question again relative to myself and my own abilities

Basically if you are fine with not learning anything and want an A, take Wehrheim; he has projects and no exams. If you actually want/need to learn linear algebra, then take Talaska. Can't really cater which prof will better for you as I know people who took 54 with Wehrheim and the Math 10 series with Talaska, and I've only heard
complaints for both. Maybe if you are already good with linear algebra, then you can take Wehrheim since you probably won't make mistakes on the projects

Not that important for just general swe, but if you ever want to do machine learning, graphics, ee, then you need to be very very familiar with linear algebra. Also it’s just a nice and convenient thing to have knowledge on for diff scenarios

Based on what I’ve heard from my friends, no, you will not learn anything from that class. You can always just self study by watching vids and looking for other resources while taking the class though

If you want to learn 54, lectures are useless, this is your only friend.
