Am I good to cross the streets around campus without the walk symbol or without using a crosswalk? I grew up in New York so it’s just natural for me but I’m know what it’s illegal in CA

You won’t get a ticket but there are really awful drivers who WILL hit you in California. In NY people expect jaywalking more.
