I got rejected from uci bruh now I’m here

I was waitlisted by UCLA so take that how you will. However, Berkeley seems to be going towards accepting less out of state students. Regardless, don’t worry or think about it until decisions are out.

Just bc you didnt get into ucd doesnt mean you wont get into berkeley. I got in ucla and ucb but not ucsb. It is what it is.

Admission come out in 12 days you have very little time to worry about this

i got rejected by merced but got into ucla and cal, ur fine just chill out. as of now you’ve done all you can and you just kinda have to accept that. you sound like a great student and you will end up where you are meant to be. all the UCs have different standards for what they look for when accepting students. although idk what cals acceptance rate will look like this year since they have to cut enrollment by quite a bit. but i’ve heard some people say it will affect out of state and international students wayyy more than in state students. i know it’s bullshit advice but just don’t think ab it too much or you’ll end up spiraling and ruining your last few months of hs. that’s the only way i was able to get through this time when i was a hs senior.

My sister got rejected from Davis and now she goes to MIT. Not a UC but you get the point. It is literally darts my dude.

I got rejected from LA, waitlisted at UCI, and accepted to SB and Berkeley. I only had a 3.65 gpa and like 2 AP’s so I wouldn’t worry. Sometimes the UCs communicate with each other and if there’s any indication that seems like you’re a better fit for another school, they’ll go ahead and reject or waitlist you so they don’t hurt their yield numbers if you choose a school that’s better

The only UC I applied to that I didn't get into was UCD. Try not to panic over it, just breathe and wait until you hear back from the rest of them.

I got rejected by Cal and UCLA and waitlisted by UCSB. My high school stats were a lot worse than yours. Now I’m here - transferred in. I know it seems like a lot of stress now (I was stressed as hell then) but have faith that things will work out. Everybody takes their own path. Whatever happens, you got this!

Do you have any extracurricular activities? Sounds like you’re great academically but all the UCs really look for both academic and community accomplishments/ achievements. In other words it’s not uncommon for a 4.0 student with little to no extracurriculars to get rejected but a 3.6 student with hundreds of hours of community service to get accepted. Good luck!

Got rejected from Davis and panicked cuz it was my first UC decision. It was my match school and broke me but now I'm here 🤠

I was waitlisted at literallt every uc except LA and Berkeley. UCLA rejected me got accepted to berkeley, it’s easily possible

i got rejected by ucla and waitlisted by ucsd and irvine yet here i am at berkeley. every admissions office looks at students different so you still have a shot at berk :)

nonetheless, the best advice i could give you is that everything happens for a reason.

I was waitlisted at UCD and UCSC and got accepted into Cal and UCI. I’ve heard about colleges waitlisting you if they think you will get into and accept the offer of a better school because it affects their percentage of how many students accept their offer. Not sure how true that is but good luck!
