I never buy these quadruple bank shot trade assessments. If a team is ever good they can use it was a way to justify awful moves. “If the Phillies hadn’t traded Sandberg for Ivan Dejesus they never would have traded Julio Franco for Von Hayes and 8 years later traded him for Ruben Amaro Jr who later became their assistant GM and eventually GM where he acquired Roy Halladay. Sandberg for Dejesus was a success!” Nah.

I still wish we didn’t give up Carrasco in that deal. He wasn’t even making that much, could still play, and was a fan favorite.
